I have been informed that a Marshall bodied Dennis Dart has arrived with FWY at Halifax and is one of 21 expected from First London to replace the remaining Volvo B10B/Alexander Strider saloons and the last three step entrance Dennis Darts (40634/40635/40636):
41281 T281JLD.

A report in this months West Yorkshire Metro Transport News confirms that the Marshall bodied Dennis Dart delivered to FWY Leeds Bramley depot is as follows:
41254 S254JLP.

I think this is a very poor replacement. The Volvo B10B Striders have spent all their lives (15/16 years) in the Halifax district and seem to have been reliable workhorses - large destressed engine, reasonable turn of speed and over 50 seats, but had 3 shallow steps! Replacements - 10 year old ex London Darts with 31 seats - cramped interior, noisy high revving engine not suited to the local terrain, but flat floor. This is not progress, I hope they move on quickly. Still with Halifax - surely this district should receive some of the new B9TLs with 50 new ones being shared between Leeds & Bradford (apparantly these were destined for Manchester, but because of the Congestion Charge fiasco have been moved to West Yorks)

I don't think Halifax requires any of the new B9TLs, they'e got enough for what services they need to cover, although personally I think the 590-594 should be run with double deckers but current thinking doesn't agree
Regarding replacements for the Striders, I think some B10BLEs cascaded from Bradford would be a better (and realistic) alternative

Why scrap some of the Striders, i am sure some other First Leeds could do with some. Leeds should look at maybe B7L's from York ?

I doubt Leeds would take any B7Ls from York, they only take what the need i.e B6BLEs and with the influx of B7RLEs i doubt B7Ls will be required in Leeds as there is now enough to cover the PVRs of all routes.

You don't think these Darts are to replace the 8 remaining Merc miniibuses in Halifax which must be do for replacement this summer!

All it needs now is a Destination box {Screen} and it will be ready for service.

They've all had a full refurb inside with new seats, hand rails and floor fitted. They have been repanelled and painted. They're just being prepared for service with desinations the final thing to be fittet and it should be next week when they enter service. Also none are staying at Bramley, they've all gone up to Halifax
