Great news.
On saturdays am sure that Flybe could push the schedule back to around 5 to let the "Day Trippers" have a full day. Use the Saturday Morning Depature and the Sunday Evening Depature for Saturday and Sunday will be better overall.

Do wonder about it being Gatwick instead of Heathrow but any London link is good

Personally myself, I don't see the need for a direct airlink to London for doing business so to speak. The cost of getting to LBA, then flying to Gatwick then the cost of getting into central London could well end up being the same as rail ticket booked in advance and the train will take less time as well when you consider travel time to and from the airports.

As said on Airliners Net, this is directed not only at the business side of things, but at the tourists who want a cheap way of getting to the South Coast (direct train link from LGW) and city day trippers who want a cheap way of getting to London (Low Fare with BE).
