you wouldn't believe the amount of people that don't look at the desti, its unbelievable. I agree and it's nearly as many as the number of potential passengers who stop the bus just to ask the driver is this a number whatever and does this bus go to wherever when the blind clearly says it's not. In favour of the passenger, if the sun is shining towards the front of the bus, these bri tec destination displays can't absorb the light so the destination screen appeard blank. It's only until the bus is almost at the stop that you see what it says.

daniel-stazicker.fotopic.net/p62728277.htmlI notice on this web site there are two new additions UK54DRM another Omnicity & M432UNW former Arriva Yorkshire Volvo Strider. I think this web site with the link above is excellent - he appears to be a great photographer. N

It says they have got the Volvo Strider out in a test exercise to evaluate against similar Scania vehicles already in the fleet. It will probably be a test for Fuel economy.

The Omnicity is probably a replacement for that then, it will probably end up carrying same Reg number to go with with the other Omnicity.

From what i can understand G752SRB & K761JTV are to be withdrawn from the service fleet very shortly. Some months on and both are still in service - G752SRB on the X52 today (route no only) today and K761JTV on the Harrogate Morrisons run,

Observed with this operator on the York - Ripon service this morning was Opatre Solo YJ10 MBF in demonstrator livery, with both HCT and Opatre legal lettering.

Well since Harrogate coach travel have got the Ilkley & Otley locals, they will need to purchase some new buses, which I have heard they are anyway.

i think the 960/961/962 and the Cambridge run can all be done using 2 buses, but they also have the 940 so they will need at least 3 Solo's.

I think either 3 or 4 Solo's are order as they maybe putting a new one on the 21's in York and also have a spare Solo rather than having to pull P817REX out on failure of one of the Mini's.

Looks like YJ59GGP has already been in use judging by the low tech 21 display. Anyone know if any fleet reductions are proposed given that a new Solo for the 21 will displace L50LOW and also the withdrawal of the X54. K761JTV seems likely for the chop as M105RMS now carries the ADbell advert

L50 LOW will more than likely Replace P817REX which is going to be the temporary Ikley spare bus. K761JTV & F291DRJ are to be leaving. Even though another Double Decker maybe coming to HCT but nothing confirmed as far as i know.

I don't think First will be best pleased about them breaking their policy. They might get away with it if they re-register it.
