Latest vehicle here is Scania M951DRG. This joins sister M954DRG, but obviously carries different bodywork. It will not be in service for the time being, and is still in Stagecoach corporate livery.

HCT looks like they have gone on a shopping spree again and bought Ex- DRM Scania omnicity 5209UA daniel-stazicker.fotopic.net/p60567479.htmlWhen i was last up bashing K107/8YTX i did notice G752SRB had only 3 weeks left on its tax disc, Could this be its replacement ? or have HCT got a another route on the cards.

I think it is to replace G752 SRB because of the tax and its age

G752 SRB will remain - no vehicles are being withdrawn.

The Omnicity is an additional vehicle for the 142/143 group of services. G752SRB is one of the best buses in our fleet and certainly isn't leaving us!!

Anyone know why the 142/143 group of vehicles have Irish ( I presume) plates. If it was to hide the age of the vehicles then G752 SRB would the prime candidate.

K107/8 YTX and the L113 sh!te dont have private plates.(no offence & i know M951/4DRG tend to work the X52/3 services). I assume these private plates were already on the buses before HCT bought them ?

Most of the buses get private plates when they are with HCT - few have arrived with them, other than EIG1356 and 5147UA (at present).

Is this in service as acquired, or going into the paintshop first?

From what i can understand G752SRB & K761JTV are to be withdrawn from the service fleet very shortly. There is also a possibility that another vehicle in the current fleet will be withdrawn too.

That pic looks pretty much like in service as acquired. Wonder if it caused any confusion for passengers thinking it was an Arriva York service at Wetherby.

Same with HJC most people look at the time and the colour of the bus and know that it is their bus on the stand, it is always me that tells the driver the destination is wrong because no-one looks at it.

you wouldn't believe the amount of people that don't look at the desti, its unbelievable. I agree and it's nearly as many as the number of potential passengers who stop the bus just to ask the driver is this a number whatever and does this bus go to wherever when the blind clearly says it's not.
