The maintenance facilities are at Elmwood so it's obvious they would tow it there.
Did someone allocate a double decker to a 548/549?

The bridge can fit Royale's underneath as the bridge is 14'6" but you have to align the bus exactly into the middle and if you get it wrong by inches it will hit it.

I bet it is hard to tow a bendy bus, it would be about 20 metres in length all together.

The current ones with the engine and drive in the rear section can still be "lifted" at the rear if there are transmission problems. If you go back to the original ones in Sheffield they had the engine under the front section Leyland Leopard style and those drove the Centre Axle. Try and recover one of those with a transmission problem with the automatic gearbox. I remember one being wedged into some railings on full lock all day because it would reverse out.

Castleford ALX300 485 had failed just at the end of the bus lane approaching Wakefield before the railway bridge at Agbrigg just after the junction on Doncaster Rd where the Road from Normanton/Castleford joins it. Really slowing the traffic down, it was being recovered by one of those long American Recovery trucks

i saw an alx300 smoking badly from exhaust and side vents, would have been better to remove the daf engines and get man ones fitted for better sound at least lol

It is currently parked at Belle Isle looking a little scorched and smoke damaged at the rear end. Penfold

Probably because of it's new engine or whatever they have done to it to make it sound like what it does at the moment, sounds to be something different to it than what it did about a week ago.

A marshall dart (unidentified) was on a tow truck in HP depot today around lunchtime so I'm assuming it broke down some time sat morning.

That will be something to do with the large diversion on the 576 route, buses have been running late all day. Buses are having to go up Boothtown Rd. onto Claremount Road, down to Godley Lane towards Shelf until Shelf roundabout, then to Queensbury, back towards Halifax on the normal route then turning around where the road is Closed and back towards Bradford on the normal route.
I was told this will probably go on till Monday, So if you are going to Bradford or Halifax I would highly suggest to use the 681 or 509.

An UID Wright bendy bus being reversed in to a bay in Hunslet Park whilst being towed by a S&H recovery truck.
I bet the S&H boys are amused by the number of times the Bendys are being towed back to HP

Just for a change, Bendi T107 (10024?) broken down on Infirmary Street about 0930 today. Must have been overheating, it was coming nicely to the boil on arrival from Beeston around 8:00 this morning. The steam from the rear was pouring out as it pulled away from the stop by the Station
