Today i have seen 2 new B9TLs with 56 Turqouise Line branding, on was 37647 and the other is unknown. It looks smart with a strip across the upper windscreen in turqouise with some writing in it, and then the rest is like the 2/3/12/13 branding except in turqouise. They also have the areas served in the upperdeck windows. Although this is good, how long until one window gets put through, as the case with red/blue lines.

Sensibly the "every 10 mins or better" text has been made bigger on part of the turquoise section, instead of being hidden in the usual white circle on the window.

Four of Cherry Row's 56 branded Geminis are about to have their branding removed by the Hunslet Park paintshop.
We're told this is to do with their impending transfer to Hunslet in exchange for 4 single decks, possibly 69311-314 but this is not confirmed yet.

Very strange that one. The 56 has a PVR of 20 and there are 21/22 B9TLs at CRG. I just cant see what CRG would want more singles for? Are some of the workings for the 56 going back to being ALX400?

Not sure what's happening with the allocation yet i'm afraid.
So far 3 have been de-branded, 37659-661. In fact if just 4 were leaving CRG for HP then it would be more logical to just move 37663-666 as these don't have branding. I know I know, that would be far too easy!
Anyway, the transfer aspect is only at the rumour and gossip stage at the moment so will try and firm up on exactly what's happening ASAP.

CRG don't have any ALX400's so they won't be using them on the 56 again, they put the Eclipse that are coming from Hunslet on the Wetherby's and guide wheel some of the B7TL Wright to do the other boards on the 56 also doing it that way it keeps the 56 double deck operated.

Cherry Row to become a fully single deck garage with all single deck routes moving there including the city bus and Otleys etc. You heard it here first.

I take it when you say Otleys you're referring to the 757. It doesn't really make sence to be having the depot being solely a single deck operation. It would make much more sence if all the guideway routes operated out of there.

Sorry just to clarify, what i meant by the Otleys i was reffering to the mini buses operating around Otley,Ilkley and Guiseley etc. They are known as "The Otleys" at HP

There's a union meeting tomorrow (Fri) and the unfortunate possibility of 20+ Garage staff loosing their jobs so we'll have to wait until after that in order to learn the true facts. One of the guys from the tyre contracters said today "Oh I knew it was closing a fortnight ago!" (I know we're in danger of going off topic from the original thread title now!)
