Im a tad confused with this 1, you have some engines mixed with models of bus, what are we voting for? best bus as in an Optare Solo or best engine as in Scania N113?

I'm treating it simply, as best bus, but I also agree with your question.

None of the above - Bristol VR - should be on the list but isn't.

The Scania N113 comes with different body types i.e Alexander RH, NC Palatine where as the Optare solo comes on different engine types i.e Mercedes-Benz, MAN Also the Optare Spectra came on a DAF/VDL DB250 but yet you have an option for either the Spectra its self or DAF who supplied the chassis Anyone help me out with the wording of my point?

I see your point, but the post is essentially asking which bus model you prefer irrespective of engine or bodywork options.

I suppose from a West Yorkshire perspective, I can't see the B10M winning much support as it isn't a type that familiar in the county.
From my experiences. The B10M is a pretty solid chassis and provides a decent ride quality. The only downside to it is the flight of stairs at the front!

I see your point, but the post is essentially asking which bus model you prefer irrespective of engine or bodywork options. Exactly! Can you imagine the length of the list if all options were listed? For example, the Leyland Olympian: bodywork:Roe, ECW, Alexander, East Lancs, Northern Counties, Leyland, Marshall Engines:Gardner 6LXB, 6LXCT and others; Leyland TL11; Cummins L10, or in the case of First Leeds 5152 (F152 XYG) a Scania unit. Regardless of Engine or body optins, it is simply which is your favourite bus.

From a person al driving experience, I would say the Volvo Olympian/Alexander Royale, probably closely followed by the Volvo B10M/Alexander PS and the Scania N113DRB/Alexander RH.
BTW Whose the mad person who voted for the MCW??? Biggest pile of **** I have ever driven, very quickly follwed by the Dennis Dart!!

I just remember speeding along the mad mile (before all the roundabouts were built) on them when they used to be on the X2 and 18 to Garforth, aswell as the 56 and 57.
