I imagine that some of these wil stray onto the 42 and 51/51A! Although I think B9TLs would be ideal for the 51 having that extra pulling power to get up Churwell Hill, compared to the B7TLs.

When do we think they'll enter service? Looking forward for a change of the usual tired looking ALX400s

They will need to be in service by the 2nd February for the service changes as extra low floor buses will be needed for the extended 40/New 40A

Have all the ALX400s carrying the 56 branding had it removed yet or are there a few still running around? I know 30857's was removed when it was repainted.

Beautiful ride this morning on a brand new B9TL, the desination board wasn't working but an engineer met the bus at town to sort it out. Not seen a Cherry Row ALX400 between Swarcliffe and Leeds. The disabled passenger alarm doesn't seem to be as loud as on other B9s but the bell is quieter too (well it was on ours). Although the bus was late it was a pleasure to be on a brandnew bus on its 1st run since delivery!

nice b9tl's seen 2 of them operate on the 56, wish first wouldn't standardise the fleet by purchasing more of the same buses for 2009. Lets say It would be nice to have a mixture of b9tl's eclipse gemini and enviro 400's instead.

Alexander Dennis Enviro400s would be perfect to upgrade the 49/50/50A routes. Preferably I would rather they have Trident 2s rather than B9TLs.

Leeds Geminis 32456-462 are shortly to receive branding for the new 40/40A. Most are also being repainted first.
As a result of the new Geminis at Cherry Row ALX400's 30929-938 have gone to Bramley. These have enabled some Striders to go to Hunslet Park to replace similar Striders which have been withdrawn over the weekend. 61093 withdrawn a bit earlier was collected by PVS today (Monday).

So a bit of an upgrade to the X84, with some of the 'super' bus interiors coming to Hunslet Park.

At the last count I think they had 37645 to about 656. After the first 10 or so had been delivered Wrightbus resumed production of the large batch of B9TL for Manchester.
The next delivery to Leeds is expected shortly and will comprise the remainder to complete full conversion of 56. These will then be followed by those for the 96 and then last of all will be the leather seated examples for X84.
