I don't think this has been reportred on this forum previously, but Thomsonfly, along with First Choice Airlines, from May 2009 will be known as Thomson Airways. Source: flights.thomson.co.uk/en/company_4131.html

Thomson PLC bought out First Choice PLC, last year i think sometime before the summer season and instead of creating an absolute nightmare for the Summer passengers who were on First Choice or Thomsonfly flights, they decided it would be easier to keep the two different airlines apart for S08. (think this happened in the winter of 2007).
Anyway now, the new livery and uniforms will be shown (would expect soon), as well as the airlines (Thomson Fly, and First Choice), stop operating and go onto the Thomson Airways License which means that there will be a New IATA, and a New Callsign as well as a MAJOR revamp of all fleet. These means that anyone (which if any of you have booked your holiday with either Thomson Holidays or First Choice you need to read this), who books for S08 and beyond, don't be alarmed if you booking through First Choice and flying Thomson.
First Choice Holidays and associates, will now operate under Thomson management and the last rumour that i read somewhere, was the Thomson will keep the Airline name, but first choice will be keeping the Holiday name. This is because Thomson are not only efficient at selling seats at Block Booking (so to tour company's) they are good at selling at Low Cost. First Choice is the bigger of the Chain holiday company's and thus will have a Bigger Direct feed to Thomson airways than operating under the Thomson Brand.
