but the 15 already exists on the same side of Leeds as well Does that matter much these days? When you've got 2 route 9s connecting White Rose & Seacroft via 2 different routes, plus 2x route 7s sharing a stop on Vicar Lane going to 2 completely different destinations. Wasn't it a 71 originally? Good point, although i think most people in Leeds would remember 71 more as the Primley Park route rather than Bradford (If i've got my history correct it was Bradford > Leeds until the early 90's when it was extended to Primley Park then late 90's when it was cut to Leeds > Primley Park & Route 15 was introduced - possibly coinciding with the Guideway opening)

Duplicate numbers in the same city are a real bugbear of mine. When I used to run the Manchester Buses blog, Stagecoach only dropped plans for a 147 down Oxford Road after I pointed out there was already a 147 run by a different operator running down the same road. Sometimes I think operatorsâ service planners live in a bubble where other operators donât exist. As for a Yorkshire Buses 508 replacement, Iâd go for 35 to tie in with other Kirkstall Road services (even though an old 35 used to run to Greengates) or 58 due to its similarity to 508.

As I see it, the options are to go all âlate 90s Optional Bus extending the 66Bâ and extend the 29 to Kirkstall via Kirkstall Road or Burley Road, and then on to terminate at Dawsonâs Corner. Or - less drastic - reroute the 9 round via Intake between Farsely and Rodley to reinstate some links.

I really hope your not making big changes to the no9 route & timetable? As I use the 10:50 from Farsley to Geldard Road every morning and the 21:45 back to Farsley every evening for getting to work and back.

Wonderful news for the 9 bus and Horsforth as a whole. As stated in the linked Facebook post there will be revisions to the timetable and it will now serve Horsforth Vale as well as Horsforth train station. This is good news as it will effectively restore most of the 30 bus route which has deteriorated since CTPlus went under last year and A&A coach travel took it over, since it doesn't seem to run very often anymore or at least not as much as it should do. Although these changes are still a way off yet (03/07/23) they will be a massive improvement over current services, and hopefully the roadworks at the Horsforth roundabout will have gotten better by then since that seems to be causing lots of issues, much like it did to the service when FirstBus used to run the 9. www.facebook.com/100084845648980/posts/pfbid028SCxxb7LpHjVDcB6KJM9qf3ebZiBrEwNihZtD1nEYesfxTADWhHLjm15APcyKoErl/?sfnsn=scwspmo

Despite what was forecast 9 continues to grow
Adult pax up 36.4% on April

Most operators would just cancel a circuit or turn round early just to get back on time

Ideal Motor Services (York Pullman) Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown J4 CRC (Y161 HRN) has been in use on the 29 for the last two days. (Edit 16/06/23 - It now has its own ticket machine and correctly tracks on bustimes)
