Does anyone know what’s happening with the wright / Volvo single decker which was painted into their livery ? Seems odd to paint a bus and then not use it ! From observation buses running round in former colours with tatty destinations on paper doesn’t bode well for the future. I do wish them good luck but you would think a new company would want to start the right way… Not a critical post just observation Everything comes to those who wait! Noted yesterday LX03 BYL now has new LED blinds fitted

I get the feeling this is going to be one of those companies that has a revolving door of buses, where they buy elderly vehicles that they run for a short time, in multiple different liveries and then quickly move on to something else
I’m not sure using the Ipswich/Connexions livery Scania on the 29 frequently will do much for service recognition

When time permits I’m sure the Scania will receive fleet livery, again that’ll be at our pace not yours.

So no one can speculate on matters concerning your fleet, but you're fine to make wild speculative comments about other operators?. Pot, kettle. I think it’s safe to say that following the strike there will be some hefty service cuts and possibly even a garage closure

Can i ask what the fleet livery is going to be, I'm i wright in thinking all the buses that have been purchased are still in the previous owners livery.

Perhaps on some posts me and Westyorkshirebus haven't agreed entirely, But one thing i will say is, he certainly isn't a "know nothing doom spreader" as you imply. As for giving enthusiast's a bad name you couldn't be more wrong as most of his posts are the very embodiment of reason and he clearly is one of the most knowledgeable of the industry posters on this forum. What really gives "enthusiasts" a bad name is the over exuberant enthusiasm of the setting up of a new two-bob company probably formed with the best intentions, (but ultimately destined to fail) and the subsequent arse-licking that follows when unfamiliar buses grace the streets. This company with it's highly original name probably wont exist in two years time anyway, and for the record i fully agree with Westyorkshirebus post this time.

It's not even original as it's all ready been used in the 80's/90's to early 2000 by Caldaire for Yorkshire Woolen's operation.

I know some say they'll go bust but all the railways are looking for is an operator with low floor bus who'll run all the journeys specified in the contract and all WYCA are looking for is a bus operator with a low floor bus who'll run all the journeys specified in the 61/A/schools tender, nobody paying the money is looking for a bus painted in company livery. As for the 29/A, that's the only risk they have and they can withdraw that if they don't think it's making any money.

Hello to all,
I realise that this is a tad early, but i just wanted to take this opportunity to say Happy New Year to both of the directors and all the drivers and their families at Yorkshire Buses.
Personally i wish them all the success in the world and really do admire the fact that they took the gamble to set up a small independant bus operation, especially in these current financially trying times.
I had the greatest of pleasure`s a couple of months ago to meet in person the youngest of the 2 directors and he sure is a very intelligent, generous and humerous bloke to spend time with. The other director i only had communication with via email but again came across as very patient, polite and very generous.
Its all very easy to sit at home and spend time posting negative things about different bus companies. I think its time for all the negative posters to simply take a breath and sit back and just consider what in pact some of the comments may have had on the folk doing their best to keep things running.
As for me personally i hope that they go from strenght to strenght and if i had a car i`d sure be applying for a driving role with them to get me off benefits.
Bryan.

A red streetlite can be seen in the yard. Looked to have been a recent delivery with the trade plates still showing.

Believe I Spotted an ex Preston Bus Esteem in the yard this evening I can't wait to see that out on the road, much like the Dennis dart I can imagine that these are the last ones running in public service in West Yorkshire, I'll be looking forward to riding them both since it's been years since I've been able to ride a Dart. Though I don't believe the Esteem, if it is a permanent addition to the fleet, has been set up on the ticketer system yet though as it is not appearing on the tracking nor have I seen it out in service yet. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

I believe they might have purchased that grayscroft Scania Omnicity as one was recently listed on eBay a week or so back, if it's the same one, I have attached a photo link of a screenshot I took of the initial listing: ibb.co/ZJThNYn
