First Greater Manchester has finally got it's own livery after waiting for so long. It's basically the Urban livery with Greater Manchester skylines, identical to the ones in Scotland. Some of the Volvo B9TLs started to be repainted.

driver6540 Definitely seems like the MX07 xxx batch in Huddersfield is ready to replace the Volvo B7TLs that run X63 with the X63 branding itself replaced with the local branding.

I'm not so sure about that, as only one or two of the MX07 repaints have guide wheels fitted. Also most of the one's i see on a daily basis are on the 370's, Holme Valley's or 180's Manchester Rd corridors. From what iv'e seen (up to press) the incumbent X63 branded B7/B9's still run the majority of the X63's. Perhaps that will change when Bradford's clean air zone kicks in later this month, as i believe most (if not all) of Hudd's B7TL's will be for school's only.

More and more StreetDecks in Leeds are getting rebranded into the generic Green livery from their coloured routes. Initially, itstarted with the SL67 xxx and SK68 xxx diesel batch from Red and Blue & now the YE69 xxx MH batch from Grey. Recently, based on bustimes, YE69 YGV has been rebranded into Green. If it is, it would be the 2nd Grey front to be rebranded. Also, there are rumours that all of the batch will gradually be rebranded/repainted Green by 2023.

Not a repaint as such, but 37032 which is in the original HD Connect livery now has the smaller branding applied.

Why has HX Connect been scrapped in Halifax but HD Connect remains standard in Huddersfield?

Why has HX Connect been scrapped in Halifax but HD Connect remains standard in Huddersfield? I'm guessing it didn't affect bus usage and their budget started to run dry. I knew they would get scrapped the minute they started to cheap out on liveries that simple... As for Huddersfield, I'm guessing they're hoping that they'll recreate the success they had on the 372

Pure speculation and conjecture on behalf of the above posters. As for the "success" of the 370's series of routes in Huddersfield, utter rubbish to suggest this has anything to do with HD Connect branding. This was always one of Huddersfields most used routes right back from the WYPTE days and probably before that. If anything, First are probably losing customers on the Wakefield Road section of the route due to Arriva services 231/2 and 261, also Team Pennine's £1 fares on the 262.

What do you mean by the budget running dry? It’ll cost no more to paint a bus in HX Connect than it does to paint one in Olympia

Missing stripes as well as very questionable logo placement, surely that isn't a design choice? Budget running dry? What planet do you live on?. First probably don't actually have a paint budget (or at least a very flexible one), ie what needs a new coat gets one, what doesn't, doesn't. If you think the First bean counters are actually watching the coffers regarding paint costs, then think some Hudds B9TL's have gone from Holme Valley to Olympia now to HD Connect in a little over 12 months and at least one B7RLE transferred from Hudds to Leeds and painted into Leeds City upon transfer only carried HD Connect livery for approx six weeks. What doe's that tell you about a paint budget?. As for your comment about missing stripes and logo placement, then look further back on this thread where it's explained this has been done to aid panel replacement. So yes it IS a design choice!

Missing stripes as well as very questionable logo placement, surely that isn't a design choice? All goes into saving money... Logo placement moved to the upper side panel because if a lower panel is damaged, no new logo has to be used. Same with the lack of the lilac stripe, only one colour of paint has to be used instead of two if one of the panels is damaged. No rear branding about live tracking and the mTicket app means no new graphics have to be printed and put on the back window in event of a window being smashed. Also only one size of HX/HD Connect logo needed to be printed, as the deckers had a larger one for below the windows and the single decks had a smaller one for between the windows and the roof, now only a single size of logo is needed. If you think about it, it all adds up as you are only paying for what you need, no need to stock pile replacements/spares.
