Apparently, City of Bradford services 72 and X6 will be revamped to improve frequency. With the 71-plate Ultroliners already in use for these routes for the past 2 years, I wonder what additional buses will be allocated to this corridor. Will it be:
1) The some of the existing 16-plate StreetDecks coming back to the corridor as well as the remaining 16-plate StreetDecks leaving the LeedsCity fleet. 2) The York 72-plate Ultroliners, including the ones branded in the 2022 York University livery. 3) Cascading the Park and Ride battery-electric hybrid StreetDecks from Park & Rides routes from Leeds. 4) Brand new buses being ordered. 5) The use of existing buses such as StreetLites, B7RLEs and B9TLs.

'Revamped'. In other words a slightly improved frequency to match the demand and using the exact same buses.

Are you talking about this www.firstbus.co.uk/bradford/routes-and-maps/72-x6Because if you are, it’s talking about the changes that have already been made

As the 'improvements' include 72 dropping from a 15 Min to 17 Min frequency, will any extra buses be required? I assumed the 72 would be saving a bus or two that would instead be used on the couple of extra X6s

According to BusTimes, 63646 and 63653 were out on Friday 15th and since mainly on route 6. 36501-19 have all now put in an appearance in service.

All of the First Leeds hybrids apart from 39235, which is still in Olympia Eco livery, are green.
I, once again, heard rumours that these hybrids will be leaving the LeedsCity fleet (possibly for scrap), and them being replaced by single deckers (presumably GB Kite Electroliners).
Can anyone confirm if this is the case?

Not many Leeds routes you can operate with Singles - other than the 5 and various suburban routes like 91.

Lots of companies getting rid of their hybrids, believe Stagecoach down south are sending their 10 year old hybrids to scrap if not already, and other companies like National Express, have got their hybrids converted back to Diesel, apparently they cost a fortune to run.

City of Bradford's 37722 hasn't been tracked since it was on loan to Leeds Bramley. I think it might be because it isn't compliant with Bradford's clean air zone and is probably pending an exhaust upgrade from Euro 4 to Euro 6.

It's on schools and it is CAZ compliant as it has done several duties on public routes in Bradford post CAZ Zone.

Huddersfields 32517 & 19 has been withdrawn for scrap. 32515 has been withdrawn and is being sold on or preserved. The Enviros are starting to transfer back to Halifax in return for some B9s.

According to bustimes.org, the Volvo B5LHs are starting to see the end of their life at Hunslet depot. So this sheds more light to the rumours that they will be replaced by Electroliners at some point. 39206 and 39228 have now been withdrawn.
It also makes sense as their batteries are definitely showing signs of dying and that their engines are very underpowered. What doesn't make sense was the rush to repaint all of them (but 39235) into green, knowing that they would be going for scrap at some point. In fact, the vast majority of B5LHs outside First Leeds (but within the First operation) has now been scrapped.

Bradford Streetdeck 35647 will be out of action for some time after catching fire this afternoon on Broadway.
Damage looks to have mainly affected the upper deck rear of the bus so wonder if this was arson rather than mechanical?
