17/01: Saw 1895 on the 229 in it's new sapphire livery, I think its had its front worked on too if I'm looking before it was repainted.
18/01: For first Huddersfield I saw plenty of E400s on the 398 which has the Huddersfield branding on the sides with some b7tls too and I saw a unknown ALX400 too. Team pennine had 1867 on the 262. For Arriva, saw plenty of solo srs, I think a pulsar and some Eclipses too on the 261 (406 and 407 I remember seeing) and E200MMCs on the 231/232.

1031 was on the 106 today, saw it a few times. Also Wakefield Bus Station was chaos this afternoon, a huge queue of buses waiting to go on stands, resulting buses trying to get to the first stand they can and hence a lot of drivers shouting for their route number. Never known another bus station like it. Guaranteed there are always a few buses parked up blocking stands and as a result buses have to go from a stand 3 or 4 away from where they're meant to. Wouldn't happen in Leeds. I've seen Transdev's representative ask First drivers to leave if they're blocking one of their stands. Metro used to be a lot more strict about things like that, but they seem a little more relaxed now. But what else do you expect from an Arriva owned bus station! Useless as ever.

From what i've seen on the T&Cs on Metro for the bus stations (including Cleckheaton, Dewsbury & Wakefield) if the bus is in the station more than 10 mins before departure it's not supposed to be left on the stand but moved to/parked on the layovers. Now in Wakefield for example i've seen it numerous times where the duty inspector on the concourse checking the running boards and if the bus is on stand too early they will get on the vehicle and move it to the layovers. From stand 13 up to 24 is always in chaos as there's numerous high frequency routes from that end. I saw it numerous times last year with the 126/127 for example if both had a bus arriving together in to the station and one was very close to departure time that bus would unload one of the lower stands (usually stand 6) then it would run out dead to start at top of Westgate. It may also be a reason looked at as to why the 110 got split into two in the changes before Christmas as it was always a high chance there'd be 2 in station at same time going either to Leeds or Kettlethorpe/Hall Green.

I always thought the problem is when multiple 148/149 buses come in at once and usually take 2 or 3 off the stands up, and one of them stays on the wrong stand for 15 minutes, until it's due out by then the next one comes in and pulls the stand it's meant to go in The main culprits are 110, 148/149, 189, 195/196 and 496

The main culprits are 110, 148/149, 189, 195/196 and 496 Not so bad for the 189, as one of them leaves the bus station as soon as it enters and drops off. not always as i've seen it numerous times where 189 drivers where picking up on the 187/188 stand meaning the 187/188 couldnt get on stand.

This was just over a couple of years ago pre COVID when Leeds City Centre was regularly gridlocked in the late afternoon due to road works. I was on on one after coming the White Rose Centre & after abandoning the bus I was on at Infirmary Street & walking to the bus station | got there first, in fact a bus I passed outside the market hall still hadn't reached the bus station when my 110 left

Should there be more flexible working with the buses, so if a 106/ex 110 heading to Kettlethorpe was running 15 mins late it terminates at Asda and gets back on time, if it's running late into Leeds it runs straight out the bus station and resumes it's run at say Stourton? I've being on London buses and all of a sudden it announces that the buses destination has changed and it terminates short I wondered if it was something that may work here on the high frequency routes
