Yutongs 68801 & 68806 on PR3 Saw 2 BYDs parked up in the depot today, wondered what had replaced them. Not the first time I've seen/heard of a Yutong on there, teething problems?

I am pretty certain I saw 1411 on the 148/149 diagram today at Wakefield, so Castleford depot is still doing some of the runs temporarily as Wakefield are short staff

I thought the yellow ones were for York Road services, and specifically the ones to the new retail park?

He was saying that 35261 is now in green, not that the 52 should be yellow.
With Bramley now having a lot of the red tops I think it's probably time to make them all green.
I was in Otley yesterday and saw two blue tops on the 34 & X84 and this morning in Horsforth the 50's had green, red, yellow, grey, Kraken & Yorkshire Rider!

1473 on 148, with a driver change at Pontefract between 2 Castleford drivers. I know these are Cas Drivers as I had them before. A BMC Mybus Condor parked up on the layby in Pontefract. I saw a McGill's bus this morning in Whitwood, I couldn't get close enough to get a reg or anything due to the roadworks, but I definitely saw McGill's. McGill's have ordered a substantial number of Yutong electric single deckers, probably on test or delivery from Pelican.

It does raise the question of why on earth do they have different colours? Who is actually in charge of First Leeds? I don't work in the industry, but I don't understand how a depot can consistently misallocate lots of buses every single day, and have done since the route colours were introduced. 'Let's look at a map, give different groups of routes a colour and then try and get the allocator to match the correct colour bus with the appropriate board, and if we can't achieve that then we'll just colour all of the buses the same.' Primary school stuff really isn't it. Circle toy in the circle hole. Square toy in the square hole.

Maybe because Metro decided to go with the Line thing with different colours, can't blame a company for everything.

yes, busfan. Pelican are based in Whitwood and are the original UK importers of Yutong. They started importing Yutong coaches nearly a decade ago now to supplement their long standing HGV sales business. Pelican are located directly by Europort, so if your'e passing their yard you should get a good glimpse of the latest Yutong products.

On a side note, McGills have recently withdrawn the 4 Commanders that were originally at AY but transferred to ASW soon after. McGills ended up with them when Arriva Scotland West sold out. 495-8 (YJ04HJC/D/E/F) have been stored in their reserve fleet but are not likely to see further service with McGills. Of course 499 (YJ04HJG) still remains at AY as a DTU. Penfold

Primary school stuff really isn't it. Circle toy in the circle hole. Square toy in the square hole. The box man (output man) at Bramley always did a good job when I was at Bramley. Very rare to see buses off of the route they were supposed to be apart from the ones that came out in the afternoon peak which were booked out by engineering. 99% of the time it was all correct... Enviros on 49 StreetDecks on 72 Non-Guided B9 Gemini on 16 Non-Guided B7 Gemini on 50 Guided B9 Gemini on 56 Guided B7 Gemini on 40 Guided Eclipse on 19 64 StreetLite on 5 Scanias and B7L on early run-in boards which where mainly on 11 54 55 65 74 75 86 91 services Non-Guided Eclipses on Ring Road 9, 14 15 Late turn 11 14 15 74 86 91 A lot also depends on who does the bus output at that particular depot and how they look at it.

He was saying that 35261 is now in green, not that the 52 should be yellow. Well, then, he should have said that rather than leading with it being on 52. As someone who doesn't have the kind of encyclopaedic brain that remembers fleet number details, I get very frustrated with reports that just quote fleet numbers, without adding details of the bus and exactly why it's a misallocation. Notwithstanding, given that many of the yellow buses were vinyls over other colours, and reduced need for them because of the routes that have been subcontracted out, I'm not surprised by this report.

1072 is tracking as 1700 on bustimes. Currently on the 231 heading to Wakefield. Its not really unusual but it is definitely somewhat common for arriva to swap ticket machine, still yet to ride a double on the 231/232 even tho I have seen some on there! Guessing there is something wrong with 1072 ticket machine?

A couple of FGM E300's 67401/410 noted on today's 184 Oldham-Huddersfield, usually run by B9tl's or occasionally E400's.
