New service 85 surely would be better terminating in Otley? Where will this run also? Through holt park or Otley road? And half hourly or hourly? 85 is going to run every 90 minutes according to a post on Facebook that I saw Saw that. I mean if they wanted to gain customers and build up pool every 90 minutes won’t work. When first re launched the x85 via pool i thought they were serious about building pool up. I guess not.

Would an extension to Otley require another bus? With 4bph already to Otley and two other bus operators on Pool to Otley, do First see much benefit Hmm. I assume the 1 will serve the station or there will be no station to university services. It would be disappointing if First routed the 1 through roadworks outside the Corn Exchange instead of up Infirmary Street whose layout changes assist the progress of this service. Firstly, with regards to the 1, as it's a direct replacement for the 10 it will serve the station (Bishopsgate Street) and regarding the X85 withdrawal, I've only seen penny numbers board/alight in Pool both from Leeds and Otley so I can see why they've replaced it with a stopper only to Pool.

I know when I use to Otley genuinely hate going through Pool, its not the greatest diversion to be fair.

Firstly, with regards to the 1, as it's a direct replacement for the 10 it will serve the station (Bishopsgate Street) Bishopsgate Street is close to the station, but it is nowhere near as convenient as right outside the station door. The 27 and 28 were really convenient. It would be a shame to lose that obvious, frequent connection from the station door to the university steps.

Apparently leeds council want to pedestrianise all around the station any way and moving all the buses away because they want every one to walk and cycle. May be first bus are getting ready for that. Back wards step really for every service especially the airport bus www.insidermedia.com/news/yorkshire/multimillion-pound-station-project-set-for-approval

For personal reasons I hope it turns at Lawnswood Turning Circle rather than the roundabout. I too would like to have seen the 27 or 28 continue to terminate at the rail station.
There was that plan which had Bishopgate Street wholly pedestrianised, with no real clue as to where traffic for the rail station would go. And it's years away, which is why they are (or were - no sign of work yet) going to add a right turn from Bishopgate Street onto Boar Lane for the 200, etc services to save a few minutes. There's a new stop outside the former BHS (P7?) and spray markings on the pavement outside Tapped for another stop and shelter.

Just been confirmed by Alex Hornby on Twitter that Transdev will take over operating the 784 service from October 4th, 2020 So that's pretty much confirmed that the X84 will not return to Skipton for the foreseeable. I can imagine new route branding and possibly even Sunday services. I was in Otley yesterday. It looked odd seeing Skipton listed as well as Leeds, Otley & Ilkley among places served now that it no longer serves Skipton. We could now travel Skipton - Keighley - Otley - Skipton (and more) on a K-Day ticket.

New 784 timetable here: images.transdevbus.co.uk/downloads/784%20Web%20TT%204-Oct-2020.pdfPretty much the same as the current First timetable for now. On the way to Skipton, 784 leaves Otley 15 minutes after the 62 and leaves Ilkley 3 minutes later. In the other direction the 784 is halfway between 62s between Addingham and Ilkley. They are due in Otley 2 minutes apart.

Interestingly the 784 has been registered by Yorkshire Coastliner.

Interestingly the 784 has been registered by Yorkshire Coastliner. So its probably going to run from Idle then I did wonder why they'd depicted grey 'Pride of the North' vehicles on the publicity, rather than green Keighley buses

Interestingly the 784 has been registered by Yorkshire Coastliner. I think that's because the Coastliner division has plenty of spare O-licences, which other divisions may not do, just the same as the Flyer services are operated by Coastliner.

The link above shows the times I mean the first timetables. Interested in looking at the headingley timetables. Most of them are now on Metro's website. The 1 running every 7/8 minutes. The 8 isn't available yet though

Didn’t realise the Saturday frequencies where down? 27/28 every half hour instead of every 20 minutes like it was back in January and February. Take that is down to COVID and passenger levels?

* Should be numbered 26 or 29 to fit but we know how the operators (especially First) like to make a land-grab on the lower numbers.

Quick look at all timetables it appears the 27/28 interwork giving them a combined off peak vehicle requirement of 12. In isolation the 27 and 28 require 7 and 5 vehicles respectively. 6/8 are inter-working at Holt Park rather then two isolated services.
