A little gloomy, 'sharksmith' - I thought I would have a hobby for life having been an avid bus enthusiast for over 60 years! However, I do think it will be some time before things return to anything like what might be timed 'normal'. Maybe we will have a 2nd type of 'Utility Bus' if there are any new buses to be built in the near future? To end on a positive note, I will look forward to riding on one of the new Enviro 400 LXB 'Cityzap' buses (revealed in a recent post) - as much room as possible for social distancing on a smart large stylish double decker - we must look forward with some anticipation and excitement!

Personally I think that bus timetables will be back to normal by the new year. It's just more likely that less people will be using the routes. Most likely is that some frequencies may be cut.

It does seem pretty grim for buses but there are some opportunities If roads are quieter due to home working and if the peak disappears, bus and train operation wil be hugely more efficient and cheaper People are liking the clean air, reduced traffic noise and lack of traffic jams. They nay demand to keep it Many have had a 6 week break from driving stress and want a way out At present 1 in 600 people are infected with Covid 19 and over 70% of these wil be indoors at home or hospital So if at the end of lockdown this figure was say 1 in 6000, with the new app and track and trace keeping them at home, maybe most peole would be a happy enough to use public transport, especially as the bus services wuld be quicker, more reliable and could be cheaper due the reasons above. It depends a lot on local authorities making the right decisions We don't know how many are infected. We're not doing enough tests.

Hello to everyone on here.
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but i`m quite sure that i`ll be shot down in flames by the ones that know that my post is in the wrong place so hey i`ll post anyway and take my chances..Wish me luck!!!
So CPC training and the social distance issue.
Does anyone actually know when CPC training will resume and can CPC training be done with social distancing in place, what i mean is that can CPC training be done if only a certain amount of participants are allowed to take part?. I realise it will take longer to get folk through the courses but at least a trickle of folk who need their courses will actually get their modules done...
I need my full 35 hours so i am just curious/interested to see if anyone out there can help.
I really want to go back bus driving and already have my all types PCV/PSV licence, thats valid now till 2024, just need my CPC to put the icing on the cake as it were..
I look forward to any info/input on this enquiry.
Many thanks, Bryan.

There is still no mention on the Metro site of the operator changes that were supposed to happen on Monday 18th in Kirklees and Calderdale. Are they going ahead or have they been postponed?

I just know the Changing Times booklet hasn't been published, Metro's list says the window has been postponed and some of them maybe amongst the routes Tiger have suspended like the 532

CT Plus also tweeting they’re doing their final preparations to take the services over. Interesting choice of vehicle for their tweet, wonder what other vehicles they intend using.

Hi there Dennis,
Thanks ever so much for the screen shot with regards to CPC training.
I`m not actually a furloughed employee, i`m actually in reciept of ESA disability benefit but still have my PCV licence.
Do you think that it`ll only be the furlough folk who are allowed to take the online course?.
Cheers, Bryan.

Nobody using it to Leeds I’d imagine.
Regarding First Halifax, like others they are using their newest buses on their reduced network. Many older buses have been put on SORN.
As a result the Calder Connect and Red Arrow green and red fronted buses are appearing across the network.
