What does normal stopping mean?

What does normal stopping mean? It means it's a normal scheduled service calling at most/all stops rather than a limited-stop service, or an excursion or tour.

I’ve ‘heard’ the change to the N9 route is that it will run as a 209 from Leeds - Birstall, before resuming it’s current route from Birstall - Cleckheaton

Do you have more info on the 195/6/7 changes?

The changes are, I believe, a cut and paste from the Traffic Commissioners website. Apart from the details shown there is no requirement for the TC to publish details of route and timetables etc. That can be found on the operator's or the WYMetro website as and when they are published.

I hope this 118 will stop on Meadow Road in Leeds or Bridgewater Place on Victoria Road. I hope this 118 will also stop on Great Wilson Street on the way to Wakefield. I'm worried.

Are Yorkshire Tiger throwing the towel in on the Golcar Circular? Leaving it entirely to First for the first time in decades?

Im led to believe that the 118 (ex 481) will be exactly the same route except it will now serve the White Rose Centre on most services (118), via John Charles stadium & not via White Rose as per night services (118A) and via Rodillian School not WRC (118S) although Im open to corrections. Presumably it will also serve WRC on a Sunday but again awaiting confirmation Not sure why it couldnt just be renumbered 481, 481A & 481S Im not sure ! Penfold

Is this finally the end of the 781? I hope not but can't imagine who else would take it on.

Same route into Leeds and will serve Bridgewater place AFAIK. Most services have 15 mins layover in LCBS so shouldnt affect the service running times Penfold

I assume that the 933 Meltham Circular has been awarded to S Pennine as a result of retendering by WYMetro. It will be interesting to see the type of vehicle they will use. The service is presently operated by a low floor solo on a frequent stop start, hail and ride, without the need for the driver to leave the cab except to operate the wheelchair ramp fitted within the entrance. If S Pennine stick to their present vehicle policy then the door is manual operation, ok if the passenger is fit and able to open or close the door, and requires the driver to leave his/her seat to open the door. Wheel chair access is I think via a platform within the rear doors. If the new operator is required to operate the current timetable it will be extremely difficult to maintain if the driver has to continually leave his/her seat to open the door for some very elderly folk who rely on this service.

It’ll be one of their bread vans !! I’ve never seen nothing as unprofessional as the driver stood at the side door holding a hand held ticket machine taking fares and letting people on!

Give your heads a shake lol, what's unprofessional about someone providing links that's otherwise not exist, running something FOR the community. Tender docs will specify a low floor vehicle so will be.

Rider5521. This is a route that has been operating with low floor buses since at least 2012(the time I moved into Meltham). It is therefore not a route that provides a link that would otherwise "not exist". My comments were an observation concerning S Pennine's current vehicle policy. I will await to observe the first day of operation to see if the service is operated by one of their usual vehicle or a vehicle suitable for an off peak service which,if you look at the timetable, is operated without a break for about seven hours.

You might want to re-read Rider5521's comment. In describing routes which would not otherwise exist he's talking about the routes they currently run (in just the same way you were). He's also pointed out that the tender will specify the type of vehicle.

Read the message again....your contributor was slagging off Kevin for running "unprofessional looking services", most in the main commercial at his and his companies risk, and do present links that would not otherwise exist. The Meltham tender was not relevant to my response and did not state it would be operated by one of the vehicles so depised by the original contributor. Knowing Metro like I did it will be specified as low floor and the incoming operator will have to comply. Makes my blood boil when someone is working their socks off to provide something, to be slated in this way. The community are very satisfied with the personal service provided. As stated before modern transport enthusiasm isn't about celebrating what's out there, it's just slating...

Are Yorkshire Tiger throwing the towel in on the Golcar Circular? Leaving it entirely to First for the first time in decades? Technically entirely to First for the first time ever, competition from blue bus against Yorkshire Rider, then K Line etc..

ConnexionsBuses as stated above are set to take on the 781. Apparently they will be increasing their presence in Otley by taking over the 923, Transdev's journeys on the 940 and the 964 as wll.
