I know the BMCs were never an enthusiasts favourite bus, how we've gone from a 06/07 plate dedicated vehicles, to 52 plate old deckers still painted in a previous operator's livery, with destination limited to a number on a bit of paper stuck in the windscreen is beyond me.
I know Metro say the BMC's were allegedly at the end of their lives (although those buying them don't seem to think so), surely cannibalising a few to keep the rest going may have been a better option than such a downgrade in provision.

They were never the most reliable & cannibalising a few seems a nightmare for Metro ti manage. The money they're being bought for is equivalent to a 90s 70 seat coach, hence them being snapped up. With no age limits on school vehicles, you're letting operators rule, hence the early LFs making an appearsnce. One company that stands out is J&B travel, who's recent purchases of nearly new MAN Mobis & Scania Omnis should be applauded.

The problem, I believe, is mainly down to the fact that they are ‘High Capacity’ vehicles, and as such, the 3 + 2 seating make the vehicles ‘Non PSVAR’ compliant due to the narrow gangways, and they are currently being run under the coach exemption, which means that come 1st Jan, they wouldn’t be useable. Other operators may be able to reseat them to 2 + 2, and be able to find work for them, even with the lower capacity.

does anyone know which vehicles they are using on the Huddersfield routes and have they opened a depot there? the Huddersfield vehicles at the moment consist of Fiat Ducato YO62 POH and E200s (older models) MX12 DZG, YX15 XMJ, YX65 RHJ & YX65RHU. Once the timetables increase again and the full routes are running then they may expand the fleet.

does anyone know which vehicles they are using on the Huddersfield routes and have they opened a depot there? Depot not opened yet, waiting for Landlord to connect it to the Water supply, the 5 vehicles mentioned above are the full fleet, WHEN we revert back to normal service, only 4 vehicles required and one spare for the current routes. Any other work would require extra vehicles.

It looks like CT Plus have occupied their new depot in Brighouse now
It doesn't look like its in use operationally yet though, as there are just a load of Powells buses and coaches stored there
