Go North West have officially started running services in Greater Manchester today and have unveiled their new livery on an Enviro 400 vehicle. Looks like they're keeping the First fleet numbering system for vehicles.

Looks good.
I’ve seen a few buses in Manchester Centre this morning with Go NW branding stuck over the First logos and ‘Manchester’ skylines vinyls.

An unbelievably dull livery. The colour at the front is horrendous. Maybe if the front was orange it would look better, it would certainly look a lot brighter.
Also, it's no suprise that it's done in the same diagnonal line style as pretty much every other livery nowadays. Where's the originality gone?

Not sure they are keeping the same fleet numbers as First. It would be a clumsy list with lots of gaps etc. Ex First Volvo B9 Gemini 37386 was still carrying those fleet numbers but had a small laminate in the windscreen displaying 2861. Unsure if this was a fleet number or a board number. I guess it takes longer to change the fleet numbers than slap a few vinyl sheet fleet names in over the existing ones. Perhaps they’ll wait until repaints to apply new fleet number transfers?
I agree WYBS... yet another similar diagonal livery. I think Arriva have the right idea with a single base colour painted Then detail stuck on.

They are keeping fleet numbers at least initially, when you think about it, they are starting an operation that is divorced from their former neighbouring depots. Things like engineering will be a challenge as it is without not knowing which bus is which.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of the livery, it looks very dull and quite like a Transdev livery

Did Go Ahead buy all the vehicles off First or did they lease some as per the Rotala deal at Bolton?
