Don't Watersons still have those old scanias still operating on the 249 route, a huge step down from what BL Travel was using on that route before!

Even the old ct plus/powells single deckers still available out their would be a damn site better than them scanias

Globe have even used the 64 plate King Long numerous times on the service work in recent months but restricted to the board that just runs 96/485/97.

At the moment a couple of Globe's older Coaches are at Waterson's to help with some of the Pontefract area school routes. HSU and the e200s sometimes go to Waterson's for repair work doing too.

Wouldn't want to be the driver if a wheelchair gets on the coaches on the 249. Not sure if coaches are suited for routes like the 249. Be right messing about trying to help the passenger on board the coach,.

The Tail-lift would only be used by staff who are trained on it so those staff members can use BTX on 249. BTX (and Station Coaches Y444STA as another example) feature the ability to drop the entrance to kneeling like a service bus too.

Nice of todays 101 driver at 1810 to leave 6 minutes early! Not signed into ticketer nor was there any safety boots or a hi-vis in sight! Really dodgy operator, would love for arriva to claim tender back for 100/101 as theyve gone downhill massively since globe took them on

Really dodgy operator, would love for arriva to claim tender back for 100/101 as theyve gone downhill massively since globe took them on well from what i've heard from a couple of the West Yorkshire companies Metro want drivers to have Hi-vis on at all times when in the bus stations even when the bus is on it's stand. Also you can also get steel toe-capped trainers. As for note been signed in to ticketer; if they had the ignition off wholst on stand then the ticket machine will turn off which in turn can take a while to re-boot. It's all good wanting Arriva to get the tenders back but you've got to ask yourself why they surrended them in the first place. As for them been a cowboy company/dodgy operator they are more friendlier and reliable than most Arriva & First staff. Granted every so often a coqch is used on 96/485 or 97 but that's usually down to vehicle availability. Arriva Wakefield would say the big buses wouldn't fit on 100/101/120/120A yet there's several drivers who can get the e300s round with ease. Classic case of don't judge a book by it's cover.

Similar case with Team Pennine for 561/2 but I remember First used to have their Marshall Capitals going through Mill Bank and I am pretty sure they use longer vehicles for the swimming baths. Maybe they should all go to Penzance and learn from the First Kernow drivers to see if a road it too tight for big buses!

I totally agree, it is wrong to say globe is a dodgy company without proof, depends on someone's view of been dodgy but at least a bus turning up is better than not having one at all, globe is a small independent company, so if there isn't a driver or a bus it's small enough to notice, not like arriva who has the resources for another vehicle, also if ypu look in the bus ststion in wakefield, how many buses for arriva are parked up unattended, amd yes the buses have a battery cut off which means it takes a while for ticketer to reload back up and destination goes off too, coaches don't have a ticket machine when they're used on schools for globe, I jus tget the feeling someone is anti globe and prefers arriva but that's just my opinion

Penfold Something seems to be wrong with this system, as the only place I can type is under 'what Penfold said'. Similarly, Penfold's typing went under Stephen01's post. Statements will be wrongly attributed if this carries on like this! I'm typing this on a Windows laptop if that is relevant.

When people are reply on tablets/phones/ipads or even PCs/Macs they need to make sure the cursor is after the last part of Code which is br in box brackets[]to avoid the problem occuring.

I did try to position my text accordingly but the page would not let me. That also doesn’t explain why text posted by one person then appears under the previous person. I don’t use the BBCode tab. And normally all works fine, just under this thread has the problem occurred at least three times.

Could someone explain the set up between this company and Watersons? They were said to be taken over last year by Globe, but are continuing to provide local bus services in their own name around Hemsworth with a number of vehicles which aren't Enviro 200s. Have Globe only bought part of the operations? I note there's a seperate o-licence! Globe, Rosa Holdings and Waterstones are all owned by Scott Woolley.
