Does this cut strengthen the case for the bus from Halifax to be extended to Keighley to plug the gap? Also what will the connection be like from the 504 to the new 67? Transdev have released the new timetables (except for the 662) and the answer is that the connection will be appalling. From Halifax they typical connection time will be 20 minutes which isn't great, but from Keighley the connection will be 50 minutes - virtually no one will use that connection. It will now be quicker to travel from Keighley to Halifax via Bradford even though this can take nearly 2 hours. It's quicker by train of course (also via Keighley) but the connection at Bradford isn't great for anyone with limited mobility. @keighleybus on Twitter ignored questions about the link when the changes were announced and are now ignoring comments about it.

Unfortunately they don't seem to give a crap about most things these days. A SHANE.

Has that connection been mentioned by anyone since the initial publicity when the 502 was withdrawn?
I don’t think it is any more of an advertised connection that any other pair of separate services may be

Out of interest, why is there such little demand for a service between Halifax and Keighley? Is it because there is a lot of road and few houses or people in both towns prefer Bradford?

Is a better route between Halifax and Keighley not via Hebden Bridge? Looks like you can do it in about 1½ hours with one change.

Out of interest, why is there such little demand for a service between Halifax and Keighley? Is it because there is a lot of road and few houses or people in both towns prefer Bradford? Largely because there's no bus service. It used to run hourly all day every day (except for finishing early on a Sunday evening) with an extra peak service in each direction in each peak. Then in the 90s First culled services which they thought weren't making enough (not routes which were making a loss). They went from that service to just 3 on a Sunday in one step. No attempts to increase patronage, no warnings to people the service was at risk. I used to use it to go out in Keighley on a weekday evening and passenger numbers were usually in double figures. When the X22 started it was incredibly popular on its first day. I've not caught it myself as it's not at times I need to travel Keighley to Halifax. Has that connection been mentioned by anyone since the initial publicity when the 502 was withdrawn? I don’t think it is any more of an advertised connection that any other pair of separate services may be Not any more. When it started it had good connections and through fares - it was initially a Metro contract (and took bits over from some other routes which is why it goes round the houses). Then when the contract came up for renewal Walsh registered it commercially (I think their bid lost). Now there's no changes to the time of the 504 when the 67/68 have changed and no through fares and the 504 runs at poor times for most people wanting to get to work. I use the connection sometimes - there's usually between 1 and 6 other people doing it. Is a better route between Halifax and Keighley not via Hebden Bridge? Looks like you can do it in about 1½ hours with one change. Via Bradford is also one change - with a bus every 10-12 minutes on each route if one is delayed. The B3 is one of the first routes to give up or have serious disruptions in poor weather and the buses from Halifax have some of the worst delays in the county. Lovely views on the B3, though.

The revised timetable on the X63 is that it is becoming yet another service to see the frequency drop to every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday off peak daytimes

Transdev have finally released the changes to the 36 for tomorrow with buses terminating/starting at Moortown, Pannal, The Hydro (Ripon Road, Harrogate) and Ripley. In addition two workings commence from New Briggate rather than Leeds Bus Station. Could be some pretty unique destination displays assuming they have been programmed. harrogatebus.co.uk/news.jsp?newsID=2672

I notice that the 25 minute frequency First put on the 503 because of the Salterhebble roadworks hasn't disappeared, despite the roadworks having gone some time ago (and the roadworks cutting off West Vale disappeared last week). Makes connections rather random.

I wonder what odds you would get on First retaining the current timetable for the 503.

Nice to see First Bramley getting more through trips on the Ring Road / Number 9 between Horsforth - Seacroft. Just my luck after I transferred! My favourite route after driving it most nights of the week. I can see Squarepeg giving up the No.9 back to First as now the super peak time trip from Horsforth leaves at 1625 taking 2 and a half hours to get to Seacroft.
