Postscript to above. May not be as strange as it looks. If Arriva Yorkshire is to be sold then Go Ahead would probably be in strong position to purchase Maybe he knows something the rest don't? He would be an asset to go ahead in terms of operational knowledge if in theory go ahead were to purchase AY.

I’m sure Go North West has a lot of development opportunity, so surely a new challenge for NF? Some very small overlap with sections of existing Arriva Routes e.g. 10 around Salford, 263 on very northern bit of Manchester’s Oxford Road corridor.
I wasn’t expecting DB to sell Arriva Bus operation in fragments. Assumed they would be looking for a single investor?

I would imagine they are after selling the company as a whole entity rather than in bits. Have to wait and see what's happens when a firm offer is made

Arriva as a whole is for sale, not Arriva Bus or Arriva UK, never mind individual depots. Once a sale has gone ahead, a new owner may then decide to sell some part of the business but this is a long time off if it happens at all.

DB have confirmed that they are not selling any part of Arriva off, individually, so, NO sale of this or that to Stagecoach or Go Ahead. Also, no UK based offers were submitted.

The only rail part mentioned is Northern. Arriva have a lot of other rail subsidises.
