Even Yorkshire Tiger is getting treat better than Selby! Selby stuck with cast offs (1600's) meanwhile the old 268's are getting sent to tiger.... As if it wasnt already obvious that Selby was AY's poor relations. Then you get the people that say that BI and Castleford dont get new vehicles! The only 2 depots that get looked after are Castleford and Wakefield , this will be Wakefield’s 4th batch of new buses in the last 10 years specifically for the 110 route. Hecknondwile also seem to do ok, with what first have done to the services on Dewsbury rd, you’d have expected Dewsbury to get some new ones too, but no, Wakefield all the way. Selby .... they don’t even get fully spec sapphires , no rear dest board, no white front dest board to name but 2 !

Although the last set of new buses Selby got were the 4 Solos in late 2013.

In that case excluding the 4 63 reg solos the newest buses were are the geminis 1500-1507 then if i'm not mistaken

In that case excluding the 4 63 reg solos the newest buses were are the geminis 1500-1507 then if i'm not mistaken I think that's true – the Geminis for the 415 and the Solos for the 24/25/26/27* (* delete as applicable) are the only new buses that I can remember Arriva buying for Selby in the 16 years that I've lived here. Possibly the Darts 260–262, but again I think those were originally bought for the 492/493, where the contract specified new buses.

Yes 1500-1507 were the last new buses to Selby that weren’t bought for a contract. Personally I feel Selby will never see new buses ever again useless something major changes. ☹️

Personally i dont mind about new - would be nice if we could have some either 2DL's or E400's from other depot's rather than the absolute crap that we currently have (1600's) The 1800's are fine.
Seems like even YT are ranked higher than Selby....

Oh please, must we have exactly the same discussion every few weeks.
You don’t have to be a genius to work out why the 110 has newer buses than the 403 or 405. One runs every 10 mins with full loads, the others run hourly through miles of countryside.
And complaining that the buses on the 202/203 need replacing is ridiculous, how old should a bus be before it’s replaced, about a week?
Also, Selby have five 1600s, hardly the whole fleet, and they are only 13 years old. Hardly unusually old for rural routes.

Agreed – apart from 415, none of the other routes being operated from Selby need new buses – it's absolutely fine to take 8–10 year old buses off higher profile routes elsewhere and put them on minor routes like the those out of Selby.

Erm the 202/3 buses are exactly the same age as the 110’s , and just as busy, so why is only the 110 getting new ones ?? O yes, cos it’s wakefield 🙄

For the amount of money spent every few years on the 110 would money not have been more well spent refurbing the current 110's along with other routes to bring them all to at least a half decent standard.... how old should a bus be before it’s replaced, about a week?
