Everyone thought this with 1408 and disagreed with me that it was recieving refurbishments and I'm positive 1403 is indeed off to Rosso and 1404 is stored. Unless it has changed but last time I asked a lad in the preview day he said that Tempos 1401-1403 were going to be used for Rosso School Contracts. 1403 and 1404 are both withdrawn. Both were intended for Rosso, but are no longer needed. What source did you use? If it is wyis that is incorrect, that source just markes vehicles as withdrawn when they aren't. They did that with Tempos 1408 and 1409.

WYIS has its own interpretation of things and seems to take bustimes as gospel (eg 1825 running at Keighley recently - which was a machine error). Plan was for 1401-4 to move to Rosso, but 1404 stayed for longer. Changes to school requirements from April and the purchase of the ex Blackpool Centros meant they were no longer needed. One, possibly both, are in store at Blackburn depot, withdrawn.

It lists "Withdrawn and Stored Vehicles", neither of the Tempos 1403 and 1404 are shown as being withdrawn rather stored at Waterloo in the case of 1403 and whereabouts unknown for 1404.

Well then 1403 is most likely waiting for refurbishment then, as the even the Commanders or Lowlanders aren't withdrawn they are just stored. It's not confirmed but it is very likely, as 1408 was beaten to bits before heading to Thorntons before recieving parts. Also Gemini 2799 was not parked in the depot last time I checked so that could be somewhere like Thorntons or Blackburn Bus & Coach World.

I’m not sure why you don’t wish to believe it, but I suppose you are entitled to! 1408 was always in the plan to be refurbished as a spare bus, but 1403 and 1404 aren’t. As I say plan was to go to Rosso but now not needed. 2799 is at Blackburn and has been for months. It’s awaiting disposal. I understand around 1/2 the stored buses are about to be disposed off probably for scrap - though one is being preserved. The rest staying will likely follow later in the year.

Okay I don't agree with you about the Tempos, but we will wait and see. However I do belive the 2799 bit as it is a beat up old Gemini and the Rosso LF52 ones will probably follow by next year. The only ones I see staying are the ones Transdev purchased.

It may get some school bus stickers, But i can't see them repainting a 20 year old bus which must be on borrowed time. ( Just my opinion )

Neither can I, and a throw away comment on Twitter almost 12 months ago probably doesn’t mean much

Tbf with transdev age means not much when they began in Burnley they repainted 2x 20 year old Olympians A978OST and B898 UAS and both had been round the country with stagecoach B898 even had a makeover

( Just my opinion ) If age aspect would be considered a factor why would they be repainting the Presidents at Keighley when they are older than the Spectra. At the moment Transdev actually seem to be withdrawing vehicles YOUNGER than the Spectra and the Presidents i.e the Darts, older Solos with Rosso, most of the Scanias at Rosso and the Commanders and Cadets that joined from Tiger and even some of the Tempos are supposedly been withdrawen and again they are younger too.

You have to look at how many school deckers Transdev repaint - very few. Most at Keighley are still in ‘Transdev in Keighley’ livery, many both there and at Team Pennine are in Rosso colours, some at Rosso are in blue as acquired from Nottingham. Some at Keighley are even in Lancashire United colours and then there are those black ones that have been defunct for years.

We shall see as they say! It's got a MOT in June that would be a good indication if there going to run it for another year.

He literally said “it would be getting some tlc and staying with us”, which isn’t suggesting a refurbishment. As it’s now the last DAF/VDL decker left this may change as it’s non standard.

Owned or leased is a big factor in what lasts longer in Transdev Blazefields fleet, hence the B10BLEs that are still in use. If a bus in is good condition its age is not the issue. Then there is the fact Alex is an enthuisiast so maybe he simply has a soft spot for the Spectra although that otherwise has not an influence.

‘Getting some TLC’ may mean just a slight tidying up. Knowing Yorkshire Tiger it probably had bashed panels, with some in a different colour to the rest of the bus.

It has been confirmed by Paul that the Enviro 200s heading to Team Pennine are for Waterloo. By the looks of it, there are no single decker buses to replace at Waterloo now, so this could mean frequency boosts on Denby Darts or possibly an exstention to Barnsley. I don't think it is an exstention for Barnsley but it is possible. This could also be why the D1 timetable is changing for April 2022.

Could be they bringing the meltham route back because yorkshire tiger ran on that

You are living in a dream world if you think the D1 will get a frequency boost There are on paper no Team Pennine livery buses for the 83/84 as yet, they only see Team Pennine buses because of frequency reductions on service 319, and there is also the question over whether the 324 will return
