Odd choice of name as it could be construed on first sight to be a group campaigning for improved bus services to/from the White Rose Centre

Odd choice of name as it could be construed on first sight to be a group campaigning for improved bus services to/from the White Rose Centre How - Yorkshire is the ‘White Rose’ county, and this group is based within said county.

Odd choice of name as it could be construed on first sight to be a group campaigning for improved bus services to/from the White Rose Centre Nothing odd about it tbh, 1610 was in the White Rose Express livery and resides within the group where the name was derived form. As it's based in Yorkshire, White Rose seems fit.

Odd choice of name as it could be construed on first sight to be a group campaigning for improved bus services to/from the White Rose Centre I'd be more likely to think it was particularly interested in 80s/90s operator White Rose Buses, or as mentioned above, White Rose Express routes. Or simply think it was a Yorkshire-based bus interest group.

Hello there YR4006,
Just seen this thread and although its almost 2 years old ( It will be this December ) i would like to ask how i get to join the group?. I dont have Facebook, i`m only on this website and E Bay and Plenty Of Fish ( I`m a moderator on that one ).
I live in Altofts ( Between Normanton & Castleford ) and i`ve been informed that the White Rose Group is located just outside the village of Walton ( West Yorkshire ) just on the outskirts of Wakefield ( West Yorkshire ).
If you can help me out at all with my enquiry then i`d sure be gratefull.
I actually think the group last year took on board a double decker Alexander Royale in the livery of the old Huddersfield Corporation which is celebrating 125 years of bus transport in that town. The bus was previously in service with Connexions Buses at Tockwith ( Craig Temple and his wife are the CEO`s of the company ).
Anyway i`ll look forward to hopefully getting some feed back on this.
Best wishes, Bryan.

Hi Bryan,
It's heavily based on Facebook. The only way you would get involved is if you know the people behind it, you can get in touch with Kieron Patterson, James F or David Walsh if you know them, Craig Temple could help too. Yes that 125 Hudds Royale was taken on by a member at the time who has now parted ways. Hope that helps. They are based in Wakefield.
Thanks.

Not sure if anybody here has much of an interest in this, but the group recently moved to a new location near Selby in North Yorkshire. The old landowner never particularly liked us, however the landowner at our new shed couldn't be more welcoming. To my knowledge there may be plans in the works to host our own event in 2023, this will be confirmed over on facebook if it comes to fruition. We're more than welcome for more members to join, bus or not! If you're interested, you can find the group on facebook where you can find much more information about us and our collection (albeit slightly outdated due to the frequent comings and goings).
