Hi Admins of Travel west Yorks forum, Tim and Craig Recently I keep being diverted off the site and onto advertising sites ( the congratulations your a winner of an iPad ) ones recently. W Though I know it happens on other pro boards sites, such as tangytango, for the London ones occasionally. Maybe I’m the unlucky recipient (of winning a new iPad Just thought I’d make you all aware. Kind Regards Stephen.

Has been happening now and then for a couple of years. Both on desktop and Mobile versions. Often dodgy, spammy websites with lots of popups.

Same happened for me yesterday, but again seems fine today. As others have said, it’s been on and off for quite some time, and can affect many different web sites.
Hopefully it will have resolved for you now.

Anyone know of anyway(s) to remove the ads banner on Mobile version as they've been appearing in abundance this week and really miffing me off??

I was redirected to
[dodgy web link redacted!]
(I don't recommend clicking on this) I can't tell which advert does it as the redirect is immediate.

I get this redirection occasionally not just on here but other sites too. It's only ever when using my phone to browse and only then through Chrome, so my guess would be that it's not something to do with the forum or Proboards but maybe Chrome?
(I'm not that technically minded btw so don't quote me on this!)

(I'm not that technically minded btw so don't quote me on this!) No, it's definitely advert related. I hoped you might be able to see which adverts redirected to that site and block them. The "report ad" button refused to send the details and advised contacting site admins.

This has happened another twice since I posted this. It hasn't happened when visiting any other sites. Definitely starting to put me off visiting here in case I get redirected to something really nasty.
