It's been all Gemini and various appearances of 7477 doing the double deck workings since then

I do like the 831-834 batch of DAF/Wright Geminis - I can see these becoming quite a rare bus in the future. It could be something to do with that rather racy central exhaust. Do we reckon these buses have better performance than their counterparts (Volvos)?

Do we reckon these buses have better performance than their counterparts (Volvos)? The DAF/VDL DB250s are a rare breed of bus. Only ordered with Arriva London in mind. I've been on them in South London and when they were with Tiger in Leeds. That central exhaust is standard on all DB250s with various Bodywork, like Spectras and lowlanders in Arriva .

Do we reckon these buses have better performance than their counterparts (Volvos)? From my experience, it depends on the individual bus, there are good and bad examples of both. I like the ex London pulsars, when healthy they have decent acceleration and plenty of power up hills. The impression I get from comments I've read online, the DWxx dafs were well liked in London, seemingly more so than the B7 VW examples. Just personal preference, but I prefer the shorter wheel base on the pulsars as well!

AY1620 being transferred to YT Temporary or permanently? Permanent it looks like, as heckmondwike are getting some 160X's back from Selby , freeing up the 52 regs to go there

They getting anymore of the 52 plate lowlanders from arriva? Arriva Yorkshire are due their " reshuffle" in 2 weeks when the 37 new buses arrive, maybe, with heckmondwike getting 13, then possibly some 52 regs will be moved, but tbh, they look ready for the scrap yard!

although I've never been on one, those lowlanders do look pretty disgusting, they'd better not be any more joining Tiger! Move them to another Arriva depot & give Tiger some 'nicer' castoffs for a change!

Nicer cast offs such as some more DWs from London.

Do Tiger need more double decks, they do fine with the ones they've got.

Arriva Yorks' 08 reg Olympuses might fit in quite well as Tiger already have 2 examples (07 reg); maybe even some more alx400s or as mentioned above, Geminis

Tiger are most likely to get Spectra's Lowlanders and Tempo's before the B9TL's or the Geminis! Penfold

Penfold Also they are different types, Tigers are Scanias whereas the Arriva ones are Volvos so you have all the issues of different parts for the mechanicals which tend to be the bigger concern when you are looking at allocations. As you say Tiger are likely to see more DAFs than get some of the newer Volvos.
