I'll explain what a mate who works in engineering for a Tiger depot told. Barnsley DON'T have the facilities (of a pit) to do heavy maintenance at the Wombwell depot, so, if you're lucky, you may see a Tiger on the pits either at Wakefield/Dewsbury/Heckmondwike depots.

I've noticed a couple of Tiger Solo's over the pits at Cut end in the last week or so. Hadn't really given it much thought, possibly these are from Wombwell.

Ah right this all explains things a bit more, I'll go down the road of possible fleet issues with the fleet being bought from other operators rather than MOTs unless they are doing all MOTs for Barnsley now so they are all done at the same time each time they're due. This might explain things (as to the Arriva loans) a bit more... www.barnsleychronicle.com/article/yorkshire-tiger-investigates-safety-concernsPenfold The driver that reported it has a familiar surname... Wasn't it a mallinson that ran tates? Is there any connection?

let's not make any assumptions based on a surname. Especially as the linked article is rather scant on detail.

So flying tiger have brand new buses but yesterday in service was a tiger blue bus and a 2 Shania omnicity. Where are the new buses? You asked this question last Sunday. The previous day, like I reported in the post above, I saw one on route 757 and another on route 781.

Waterloo has recieved all their tempos for the 80's routes and are all fully branded apart from 1303? Which is missing it's decals on the top sides.
(1300-1306)
Honley has also recieved some MCV eVoloutions.
Ones that I know of: 663,666 and 667.

Bit of a random question but, why are single deckers the main allocation on the 231/2 now, when maybe a year ago you were pretty much guaranteed a decker? Do Waterloo not have as many deckers now?
I can never keep track of buses moving between Elland and Waterloo...

I believe 834 has been off the road for some time, though I don't know the reasoning behind the allocations of the other four.

I don't think you've ever been likely to see more than about 2 or 3 double decks on the 231/232 at any given time in all the time Tiger have been around. There used to be set double deck boards that were discussed here.

Besides all the Flying Tigers what other buses are based at Idle now. I'm thinking 233, 621 & 622?
300 seems to be now at Wombwell

What fleet List, the SOES one?
I was hoping more for actual sightings as no fleet list is ever right due to Tiger moving buses around frequently and sightings not being recorded, but Idle is generally more static.

Idle used to require one decker to run the A99 Bradford Uni, but since First took it over there is no need for a decker at Idle. Current decker allocations at Y. Tiger are: Elland: 831, 833, 854, 717 Waterloo: 832, 834, 835, 905, 906 Wombwell recently had an Arriva lowlander on loan but not sure if this is still the case.
I can confirm currently based at Idle are the six E200s, five flying tiger versas, two Omnicities (768 and 769) and solo 233. The four other flying tiger omnicities have been withdrawn from service. I think, but can't confirm, that the cadets (620/1/2/3) have moved from Idle, two of which recently operated out of Elland.
