The Leeds-based airline Jet2.com is buying new 27 planes to expand its fleet from 59 to 86 aircraft. The new Boeing Next Generation 737-800s will be delivered by 2018. Philip Meeson, the airline's executive chairman said: "This is an exciting time in Jet2.com's history as we invest in our next phase of growth and development with this order." sorry timelesstable its not to expand from 59 to 86 aircraft, jet2 have some 30 year old aircraft which will be gradually replaced, part of the 27 new aircraft will also terminate the lease of 11 of the aircraft jet2 don't own, 737-300 G-CELB/D AND S are to be scrapped this winter, cheers

We all know where the old buses end up when they are scrapped but I for one have little to no idea where the scrapped planes end up, yes the dry deserts of America host a few, but the rest?

We all know where the old buses end up when they are scrapped but I for one have little to no idea where the scrapped planes end up, yes the dry deserts of America host a few, but the rest? Quite a few aircraft for scrapping / parting out including Jet2 ones go to Kemble.

jet 2 all ready have 4 of the new 737s etc has anyone seen Jet 2 Manchester branded plane not seen it for over a month and also heard Jet 2 Yorkshire is getting scarpped before the year is out

all the old 737-300s are to be taken out of service and scarpped and replaced by new max ones
