Can't see it being an operator with very many vehicles. He couldn't afford to keep the small SGI fleet, so can't see him having the finance to buy anything much bigger.

It'll be something insignificant no doubt, hardly the major operations people here are mentioning. It'll probably be whatever company is currently running what was SGI services.
I can't believe after all the ups and downs, and mainly downs, many are still hanging on his every word, like the CEO of FirstGroup has just teased some news!

Are Geldards still up for offer because if so then it wouldn't surprise me if he was trying to buy them, could also possibly be Tates, obviously nothing official about Tates wanting to sell but behind the scenes you never know. Tates have been wanting to sell for a few years but nobody wants to pay the extortionate fee they were asking for duplicated routes and buses that are 'on loan' from Carlton scrapyards (amongst others)! The only thing available in Geldard's is their book. School contracts? Gone. Service routes? Gone. Fleet? Pointless. Their bookings going forward will be the only thing of value to any other operator. All of their vehicles have been sold by an online auction too. Many were very old buses though so didn't go for much. There was little chance they would ever be bought out.

Doesn't matter how big or small they are, anyone seriously thinking about selling up to that man will regret it afterwards. People gave him plenty of chances only to blow every single one of them.
You can't teach an old dog new tricks.
