Tiger 875 on 62 FWY32431 (K1YRL) was parked up outside the Hunslet Depot, thinking it may be off to Rotherham for a DDA refurb! Don't quote me on that as it's a guess!

AY Wakefield Pulsar 1466 seen on the 127 this afternoon, with our own resident Penfold at the wheel! Belle Isle initially had 1508, 110 branded 1512 and 1526 on 126/7 this morning interestingly Dewsbury had a full set of correctly branded Gemini 1529-1535 1526 developed a problem with the cooling system, hence the reason for the swap to 1466 ! Give me an Olympian any day, those old gardners will run for hours without much water in the system. What do you think!

I'd like to see one run on the 24, as I haven't seen deckers on the 24 for years now, don't really know whether demand is needed , as it copes well with singles. I remember seeing the H & D leyland Olympians on the route many years ago.

Today, Dewsbury Gemini 1535 was on the 202/3 along with Ikarus bodied DAF, 57. Enviro200 1056 was on 281/2, plus one on 126/7.

I think it was first registered as K1YRL. If it had gained a conventional registration when new, then that is most likely what DVLA would have reissued when K1YRL was taken off.

Give me an Olympian any day, those old gardners will run for hours without much water in the system. What do you think! 1526 had an airlock in the system and low water light wouldnt go out. It was parked up and topped up later in the day. Spectra's will also run rather well without water in the cooling system too ! Penfold

FWY39231 PAUL HUNTER on the 42 today WOW!!! Hybrids are starying again! Did you get a photo mate? I remember on one Saturday a while ago there were two Hybrids on 51/52, one on 42 and another on the 10 (Temple Newsham) on the same day. Anyway, this isn't 39231 but 39227 on 42 on an earlier occasion.

Just so you know 577 won't run without fuel, but that particular problem was sorted this afternoon now it is running OK!

Anyway, this isn't 39231 but 39227 on 42 on an earlier occasion. It does make sense for the depot to allocate them to those routes, there is some logic. the 51 and 55 and 42 were all operated by Cherry Row, which a lot of the 7 drivers would of known when they transferred from Bramley to Hunslet. When this happened lot of regular 71 drivers started driving the 7 series! Many of whom I recognised! So I'm guessing they trained a selected few. I do also have photo's of Hybrids on non hybrid route. My avatar on here << is a Hybrid on the 28, and here is a link to that 51/52 I took a few months ago. www.flickr.com/photos/86576420@N07/9182784230/in/photolist-ee7BeT-eZsfjY-eZsaQ3Also, I have a very very rare photo of one of our Royales on the 64 last year!
