But don't forget they are allowed 20 days use per vehicle and private non fare paying school or private use is allowed all the time. They could have enough spare vehicles for the 22/DDA services, enough to use on a rotational basis to buy a few more weeks until low floor buses can be sourced. The non DDA private/school work may account for a good percentage of service work. Additionally T312/8 may be DDA converted.

The 3 T reg Low floor Dafs are I thought DDA meant step free entrance and wheelchair space ? unless I'm wrong I thought these were step entrance with arriva I was referring to the T reg ALX400 low floor Dafs they have, they have 3

Isn't DDA deadline the start of 2017 for deckers?

Isn't DDA deadline the start of 2017 for deckers? Correct, so these 'deckers are OK for another 12months. Single decks had to be DDA from 01/01/16 though.

Just suddenly realised it's next year for deckers, it's all this panic questioning over their non DDA stock that got me confused, in effect they have until Jan 20 2017, longer if they have enough spare vehicles to rotate use of a few of them so no panic!

They don't have to have Low Floor vehicles on schools because they are closed contracts with Metro so they know the requirements for every passenger that boards the bus

yes quite correct, 2017 DDA for the deckers, we did buy the ex JH coaches buses because they are DDA, once painted they will be on the 22. The B6's are out of test, I was investigating whether they could be brought up to DDA spec, it is good news, seems they only need the correct wheelchair signage and contrasting edges then they should be good to go, but all in good time.

How busy were the new services? I'm pleasantly surprised, not many people know about the service yet, but the numbers are starting to come in.

That's very good. I've been watching your progress and think you are doing an excellent job.
Ever considered routing a couple of peak time services to Thorpe Park?

The end of Squarepeg days after introducing a new timetable?
In addition, some of your buses are still advertising as running according to Metro??!

Saw a Squarepeg solo earlier running a school service in Leeds so must be still in business.

Might be nice to keep the usual hysterical speculation to a minimum for a change.
We know the owner is a member of this forum and even if everything else within the business is ok it's likely to be a sore point when you have to give up part of your business for whatever reason.
I think we can all agree this company appears to have been conducting their business in the right way unlike some other recent start ups. I wish them well for the future.

I wonder what kommie123 was "wittering" on about. He does not appear to want to justify his comment " the end of squarepeg days after introducing a new timetable".

There's no deregrestrations of schools on VOSA. Just service 22. I'm assuming people are jumping to conclusions again…. Typical.
The 22 could be withdrawn for various reasons. I personally think it may not be making enough. It does compete with various other services.

I don't do Twitter so thanks for the info re the cancellations n of the service. I find it amazing that someone can decide "it's the end" based on 1 tweet

Bus company runs 1 bus service, bus company cancels service announces cancellation of service on Twitter. Logical assumption to make by Joe public.

Bus company runs 1 bus service, bus company cancels service announces cancellation of service on Twitter. Logical assumption to make by Joe public. And, as anyone who follows them on Twitter will also know, they state that they operate private & school services (14 in total), as well as the "1 bus service" you mention. Logical assumption will be "Public service 22 cancelled, all other services operating normally".

I said "Joe Public" at the end of my message. People like "Joe Public" wont know they operate private and school services. Maybe they should have clarified.
As you are so observant, you will have noticed that I congratulated on them doing well.
In addition, I noticed one of their buses operating this morning despite the newly extended service allegedly not operating. Talk about a shambles.
