There is some off Tiger, some off first & some off Stotts Sounds good, good to see TLC expanding Not sure it's good to see Tiger Blue and Stotts contracting though, particularly Stotts as they always provide a nice little service.

Looking at tender reviews from 2012, looks like the 303, 317, 340, 341, 342, 396, 377 & 378 are all on the same batch so it could be these they have won.

These are the routes we have gained at the end of October: - 303/304 Scapegoat Hill - 317 Lindley - Almondbury - 341/341a/342 Hirst Knowle & Stocksmoor - 354/355 South Crosland - 377/378 Mount & Outlane - 396 Wilberlee
They will initially run out of Bradford until the new depot is set up, 4 new Solo's should be ready for the start date from what I hear & another 2 arriving in new year.

The 354/355 South Crosland route should prove interesting for a new operator. If any driver attempts that with anything bigger than a small Solo, please post the photo's on here.

I notice in the August 2015 Public Transport Changes booklet it says that TLC will be introducing a new service linking the new Apperley Bridge Railway Station with it's local area in late September. Anyone know if this is a completely new service or just a rerouting of the 947?

Not being cynical, but i don't understand why TLC would be interested in the Huddersfield routes they are undertaking from the end of october. Given their base is in Bradford(?), surely the amount of dead mileage involved from base to Huddersfield would have a massive impact on their projected profits, all the routes they are taking over are pretty much "rural" routes and don't carry large volumes of passengers. Perhaps i'm missing something, but if local companies like Stott's or Tiger are happy to surrender those routes from the end of October, then it just seems odd that a company from a fair distance away seems to think they'll succeed. As i said at the start, i'm genuinely not being cynical, but i am a little bemused. I wish TLC all the best anyway, and it'll be nice to see another new operator in Huddersfield.

Did Stotts and Tiger surrender or did TLC beat them with the tender bid?
Either way, if TLC have factored in the costs of the dead mileage and their tender still offers a decent profit margin, then fair play to them. I have no complaints about my experiences of their operations in Shipley and Keighley.

TLC put in & won the tenders on the basis that they are providing brand new buses, aswell as a low tender price (I presume), the new depot will be a similar set up as the Todmorden depot, 7 buses based there. I would think there is room for expansion in the next few years as there is a lot of tendered work around Kirklees they could bid for including the 900/1 to Hebden Bridge to link up the 2 operating areas. As of the size of the buses, 7.2m Solo's will be ordered & they can get just about anywhere as I've taken them on roads people would struggle to get their land rovers down.

Yes,plus they continued past South Crosland to Blackmoorfoot, via a very difficult dip with a turn,i`ve know cars to scrape on that bit never mind the Solos! Think on the current round the most difficult part is getting around Armitage Bridge, but i think anything shorter than a Dart can do that!

TLC Leeds have moved out of Geldard Road site to new depot in Water Lane with some double dockers in there. This is the former Bristol Street Motors site I think you mean CT PLUS not TLC. TLC don't have a Leeds depot

Very interesting, Do you have any idea where the new Huddersfield depot/outstation will be?. Just read an article from Route One about TLC and based on that, they should be a very welcome addition to Huddersfield.

I noticed a 15 plate TLC Solo SR near Crosland Moor yesterday lunchtime, also possibly the same one in Milnsbridge mid afternoon, on both occasions just a few hi-viz vest wearing passengers aboard. Possibly staff on route learning duty's for October?.

Possibly vehicle testing, route learning hasn't started yet unless management/supervisors are learning first. I'm only just learning 967 Sunday to do a late turn on it lol
