It will be for the Hebden Bridge/ Todmorden minibus contracts due to start on the 26TH Jan next year. New buses are a requirement of the tender.

The new buses are YD63 VE* I will let you know when I find out the last letters, The First Solos are going to be used over at Bradford depot & one or 2 of the good ones are going to be kept because some have had a lot of money spent on them while the bad ones are going. The mini Solos that are at Bradford are going to be used at the new depot at Eastwood until the brand new ones arrive because the larger ones won't fit in the new depot because of a tight right hander at the end of a really narrow bridge outside the depot.

In use with TLC Travel in the Calder Valley yesterday were the following Solo SRs, all in TLC Travel livery:
90479 YJ62FPT in Hebden Bridge 90814 YD63VEA in Hebden Bridge 90815 YD63VEB in Hebden Bridge 90816 YD63VEF in Hebden Bridge 90817 YD63VEH in Todmorden 90819 YD63VEL in Todmorden
90818 YD63VEK wasn't in service. I presume the slightly older Solo SR is technically the spare.

90818 was in service 2 days before developing a fault, it is waiting for Optare to come & repair it. MX57 UPM is going to be the permanant spare bus, it is getting a repaint and a few stuff done to it first. YJ62 FPT is returning to Bradford once they have the spare bus back, that is the only one with a ferry lift to get over a bridge somewhere in Keighley? So needs to stay at Bradford depot.

"53822" was on the 605/606, so TLC are still using the former First vehicle. I wonder how many they will keep, as they shouldn't need all of them as they've purchased their own new fleet.

There is some JCB's on the right as you go towards Todmorden, it is just after there about 100m on the left over a little bridge at Burnt Acres Lane - Green Building

The 03 reg one and the 54 reg ones were the oldest ones in the fleet anyway. I guess 53824 will be going soon too?

53824 is the best one, I was lucky to drive it from Elmwood to Bradford and it is by far the fastest old solo I have ever driven and the brakes are nice and responsive.

I ain't seen the thread for this! Most of the e200's I see seem to be held together with tape and most of panels bent/sticking out!

It is because they need the buses on the road all the time just incase there is a couple of breakdowns, they need to send them off to the body shop and it takes a lot of time. They are already 1 down because X171 NWR has been sat in our depot over a week VOR plus there is inspections etc to be taken into account. I'd rather have a bus turning up all bashed than not at all.

What an idiot! There's flashing lights at the swing bridge, the swing bridge clearly has barriers either side so even if you manage to clear the first set,you know you'll be caught at the second set like this bus did. Why didn't he think as soon as the lights flashed 'sod it it's not worth loosing my job over'. Worse still is the possibility he might not have seen the lights nor the first barrier coming down (I'm not saying this is the reason why he didn't stop by the way, just that it's a haunting possibility), I'd like a driverless bus if that was the case lol.
