Not previously reported is Spectra 713 has had it's seats retrimmed but it remains in the old livery, noted on the 148 yesterday.

The Enviro400's in particular seem to be in need of attention, five years on the 268 is starting to show.

No power at all ! It has had one or two seats replaced with new moquette but most are in the old (looking rather worn) style ! Penfold

The E400's are being refurbished for the 268, but only 12 out of the 14 are currently branded (1906 and 1913) are the two unbranded ones

So far so good TTT. I just have to hope that plenty more E400s are refurbished before my next visit in August!

Two of them have so far been confirmed as refurbished. On my last visit to Bus & Coach in Blackburn, where the refub is taking place, a further three were in attendance.

I'm aware of at least 3 1901, 1902 and 1903 which have been completed and are back in service plus I think 1900 is also complete now

Thank you to all of you for your updates on E400 refurbs. I hope that plenty and certainly over half of them are done by late August!

Any chance that the last 2 AY Spectras (708 & 713) can be put into the repainting line to finish one refurbishment job before starting the next ?
.....or is it too late ??

Penfold I was thinking that recently too, both vehicles are looking very shabby these days and have been the last Deckers in sandstone for around a year. Why not just get them done?

I can see the Spectra's been around a long time, wouldn't surprise me if they were still on roads in 10 years time

But i doubt very much it will be with Arriva though. It'd be good to see them end up with a prominent independant in this area, when Arriva do eventually get shut. Now here's a thought, What about them ending their days with Yorkshire Tiger?. I think the Spectra LF body might look good in orange (with the stripes, of course).

I rode on 1900 doing a lunchtime 212 a few weeks back and have to admit it was an uncomfortable trip to dewsbury as it was lethal going over speedhumps and the driver also scrapped underneath the front bumper pulling if Wilans road on to Halifax road as he hadnt fully raised the step up. Was unable to sit down for two hours me backside ached that much. The Enviro400's don't have a lift facility, so, it can't be raised when it exits Willans Road

1906 is now in Max livery but with signs of any route 268 branding being added to this one.
This one along with 1913 never carried 268 when this batch arrived

The Enviro400's don't have a lift facility, so, it can't be raised when it exits Willans Road What I meant was that the front wasnt leveled out after he left Batley, you even noticed when the bus went flying over the humped crossings on Staincliffe Hall Road & Healds Road. It usually happens when the E400s are allocated to 220 & 229 duties when joining Huddersfield/Leeds Road from Fall Lane heading towards Huddersfield. Back to 1900 on 212, the driver then shouted back to everyone that it was his fault for not adjusting the front prior to departing Batley bus station. Bit of a worry that the bus doesn't adjust its own suspension after being lowered at a stop. I am presuming that's what you mean when you say it wasn't leveled. I know the B7's do it themselves when doors are closed, B9's wont let you set off until you re-raise it and Scania singles also readjust themselves.

Enviro 400 1907 back and out in service in Full Max livery but without any fleet numbers, identified from the registration YJ58FHH, well over half are complete now (9) 1900-1907 and 1909, still outstanding (5) 1908 1910-1913, unless of course anyone knows of any others which are complete
