It shows a great company when they have to loan buses from a company and branded buses at that. It does? For all we know they could be owned by the same company. For a company starting up like they are, its hard work. £75,000 capital has been invested in the company which wouldn't go far in start up costs, purchasing assets etc etc.

So can Yorkshire Line brand these buses or do they have to leave them be?

Up to the contract. I presume they'll have the decals removed for all branding and just having the base paint.

A reliable source tells me Yorkshire Line have loaned the following buses from Central Connect in the West Midlands R135 RLY, R137 RLY, R150 RLY & R166 VLA R150RLY & R166VLA are route branded for West Midlands routes ! I get the feeling they're temporary vehicles until the "proper" ones arrive, for all we know a bunch of 60 plate E200s are being repainted into Yorkshire Line livery as we speak...

I hope they prove everyone wrong and become successful.
You've wrote them off before they've even started trading!

Your writing them off before they have begun. I hope they are a success too! ... they have to start of somewhere and with some type of fleet. The step entry do look shobby, but they have LOW FLOOR buses which means that they can compete with the big boys. Lets hope they increase frequency on some routes as the year goes on.

Leasing most of their vehicles... Most businesses lease shop units, doesn't mean they're crap.

In the long term, it costs more to rent a bus than buying one, especially 10+ Year old Darts that sell for about £6,000.

But the £1,000 pcm will be for a long term leasing. Guarunteeing Dawson's some form of income and giving the leaser a cheap deal!

Yorkshire Line gets a little mention in the Changing Times booklet.
The services that they're running are:
*53 St James's Hospital-Leeds-M621-Elland Road-Morley-Asda (30 mins Monday-Saturdays) *105/106 Alverthorpe-Peacock Estate (105)-Flanshaw (106)-Wakefield-Pinderfields Hospital (30 mins Monday-Saturdays plus some journeys to/from Normanton - running back to depot) *182 Wakefield-Normanton (One return journey Monday-Saturday plus extra Saturday journey) *X10 Wakefield-Outwood-Leeds (Two return journeys Monday-Saturday plus extra Saturday journey)
Metro says that all services will be run by low floor, easy access vehicles and Metro ticket and passes will be valid, including MetroDay.
