Anyone know why Yorkshire Line required 3 Beavers to operate the 105/6 this morning R505 YWC, 512 and 514 for the record Plus 142 was on the X10 Having driven all 3 Beavers in the past and knowing what nightmeres they are the more they have as spares the better. Still seems R511YWC is off the road, unless anyone knows different. They were horrible things to drive when WR/AY had them. The only good thing about them was that they were fast, though that will have changed over the past few years. The driving postion and layout of them was strange, but then they were a van derived bus ! Penfold

Yorkshire Line now also have HV02OZW, in overall red fleet livery.
It is thought KU52RXR may have left the fleet as a result?

Just noticed on there Facebook page that the X10 is facing disruptions until further notice due to 'driver issues', yet there other services arn't affected. I wonder if it is driver issues or infact vehicle issues!

I think my first intial thoughts are coming true really..... I share that thought too ! Nice shiney red buses when they first started, now they are virtually shed's on wheels held together with body filler and sticky tape. Smartly dressed drivers (with jackets, shirts & ties) now they are wearing jeans and 'T' shirts !. Full of promises about services that never turn up but introduce a more frequent service on others knowing full well they have a driver and vehicle issue. Just wondering when the drivers (that they have got !) are going to start wearing boot spurs and stetsons ! BTW wonder where all the red jackets have gone lol Penfold

They seemed to make a real bang when they first launched, with smart liveried buses and drivers all clad in there red jackets, but how quickly things change. I also notice how the negative comments regarding the loss of there ASDA contract and the comments about the livery's were quickly removed. Sad really

Speedwell the second! Not long now before we'll see the sudden withdrawl of services without notice, I really have to wonder if they have links with Speedwell because they have some of their old buses and are starting to copy their methods.

Theres no link between them both thankfully, although lets not even get started on Speedwell's methods. I wonder whether its the CURSE of the Vario's lol. To clear things up slightly the Vario's were actually sold to YL through Dawson Rentals, who sold them on Speedwell's behalf, there was also an Excel in the batch so wonder whether this will turn up next at YL

Maybe if they concentrated on 2 routes (the X10 and 53) and ran both routes to at least a 20 min frequency with cheap fares with midi buses such as solo's the company would be more successful. As it stands the 53 dosen't get enough passengers because although the fares were good, the frequency is only half hourly so wouldn't be an attractive alternative to first. The X10 at peak times may have got the odd fullish bus but to be honest, it was only by chance that some journeys were well used, eg the 110 being late. As for the 105/6, again because their hourly would they really attract loads of loyal fare paying passengers from Arriva? What a waste of time the 182 was, at least they saw sense there. The right fares were used, but everything else was wrong in my view.

A case of bitten off more than they could chew? Agreed they should've focused on 1 or 2 routes originally then grown from there.

Or they could have done what HJC do & try their hardest to get routes with a guaranteed income such as school contracts or tendered work.

Is there any real confirmation this bus company has folded? I've heard reports of some services operating in Wakefield today.
