Be Interesting to see the Leather Seated Darwen Olympus on the 202/3. They have been on there before on the Boxing Day service and seemed suited to the route. Anyone know what colour branding they will have? Assuming it will still be Connecting Kirklees. The seats aren't Leather, and they are all stained. The DAF/VDL Lowlanders are better than the Volvo Olympus. Thats a matter of opinion, Everyones tastes are different. For what its worth, I personally agree with you, as i too prefer the Lowlander to the Olympus. However some will argue the Olympus is better as its a newer design than the Lowlander. I also think the DB250 seems to have more "oomph" than the B9TL. However the stats could well tell a different story. I think the only people who will know for sure are the drivers who actually drive them. With the best will in the world, We as passengers dont really know that much about power delivery, throttle response, max torque bands etc. We rely solely on what we "feel" the bus is doing when forming our opinions, As i said earlier only a driver would know which is the best bus. So if theres any AY drivers on this forum, Thats driven both the VDL/Lowlander and B9TL/Olympus then my question is, Are me and Danny right?. Or is the Olympus a better bus?.

The Lowlanders will look good over at Selby, probably see plenty of them on the 150. Will make for a nice trip from Wakey to Selby. The only place a Lowlander would look good is in a cave three miles underground. At night. With no lights on. With a blindfold round your head. I can't comment on whether they are good buses or not, but (like just about everything else that has come from East Lancs) they are as ugly as hell.

Seriously?! Personally I think the Lowlanders look great and sound great! Definitely my favourite bus out of the Lowlander and Olympus. But as driver6540 says, its all opinion.

I like the Lowlanders but I think the Low - Floor Spectras seem better build quality.

Have any been branded at all as I went past belle isle yesterday and one was parked facing the road and the upper front window had a large vinyl stretching the full width and about a quarter of the way up the window. Couldn't see the sides of the bus as it was parked between 2 other buses.

The 229 branded Geminis are the same style as the new 268 branding. Same colour green as well!
