Yes and it said 595 Hebden Bridge & when they were filming in centre of Hebden Bridge the bus was driving around with 595 on the desti and a few drivers were ringing up the depot asking why I struggle to see your point of why drivers were asking why? It's obviously staged, because TJ Walsh are more of a local operator in the Happy (Calder) Valley, because they are based in Halifax... with TLC are based in Bradford... surely TLC drivers know that..

We are based in Todmorden aswell as Bradford and our drivers saw the Primo driving round on part of the 595 route with 595 on the destination with no cameras in sight.... that's why they was ringing up asking what it is doing, the supervisor had to go to Hebden Bridge to ask the TJ Walsh driver what he was doing.

In the last few weeks they have acquired 1 or 2 step entrance ex disability Mercedes Benz Sprinters. I have seen one running on the 400 Elland service but didn't get the registration

Hope this is not a backward 'step' - my mother-in-law is not too happy at this different bus on the E7.

They have, but those strange low floor minibuses generally work the Elland network, the new step entrance buses tend to work the 400.

I've been paying lots of attention to the TJ Walsh fleet over the last few months as they introduced a large number of new minibuses to replace their step entrance non-DDA fleet.
As a result of this there are 4 primos that have never been seen on any occasion in the last 5 months
24 MV06EKB 31 MX56ABV 42 MX56NLZ 43 MX08WCJ
Has anyone seen these recently, have they been withdrawn or sold on?

All the 4 above buses are now declared as SORN or Unlicenced, so they can be classed as withdrawn. You didn't used to be able to do a vehicle enquiry on the gov website as 'Enterprise Bus' wasn't an option.
Although not used on public services a small number of the older Beavers are still in use, seen recently on the LBG shuttles.

It is saying it can't find the vehicle so wonder if they've been reregistered instead of withdrawn...

What a shame. Halifax won’t be the same without the little red minibuses trundling about.

TJ WALSH to cease trading after Wednesday . For good? The information on the Metro website sounds like it's a temporary thing.

I am indeed sorry to see them fall - the company has run a close knit group of services around the Halifax district (525/527/555/600/700) to an established timetable running Monday to Saturday daytime for a long time. Additionally, out of town services included the 504 to Denholme and the 564 Barkiskand to Brighouse routes (currently diverted via Rastrick) and then the Elland contracted services (E3/5/7 & 257/8). It was obvious that the company was maybe struggling with few newer vehicles purchased recently and little effort was being made to publicise their routes. It will be interesting to see if any other companies replace these services but very unlikely in the current climate. Maybe South Pennine Community Transport may take on some of the tendered routes. If studied closely, most of the areas served are within walking distance of other operators' services for much of the route.

It's only a few years since they dropped their PVR by quite a bit, dropping the 5bph to Sowerby and 3bph to Elland (which had been higher) from Halifax.
I remember their first route, the 501 between Illingworth and Elland with only 1 or 2 early evening journeys.

They will be remembered for their eclectic fleet, almost nothing was 'normal'
From using deregulation era Ford Transits much much later than anyone else, to the vehicles with strange bodywork they ran just before DDA, and even now the Primos and other minis they run are unusual.
They also still run Plaxton Beavers on the LBG contacts.

I too remember their first stage route which I believe was the 501 from West Vale through to Illingworth. With plenty of spare time in the coming days , I am going to look through my notes and try to list some of the earlier routes which only ran for a short time. Maybe it is better if I put these in the 'History' section.
