I know not a lot of people will be that intrested but TJ Walsh have another new bus (I think it is a Mercedes Benz) registered V682 GLC, i saw it at Hare Bros. Motors on Hanson Lane today in allover white.

If it makes you feel better, I'm interested :-)
See how long it takes it to be re-registered.
TBH I'd rather see information about the smaller fleets, I've never been a fan of the greedy corporate companies. For a start they're so boring.
Each to their own, but personally I'd rather know about fleet changes to independent operators than be told that First were operating a B10m on a route when it should have been a B7 (or whatever...), or which bus has had a new dot-matrix blind fitted etc.
I'm a South Yorkshire lad but I remember Leeds being much more interesting with the likes of Amberley, Taylors, Black Prince, Fallas etc. I know you get some cowboys (look no further than the rather extended Singh family in Huddersfield...) but at least it brings variety and competition for passengers, as well as cheaper fares (cue yet another First increase).
But that's just my opinion, to which I am entitled, and which others are entitled to disagree with.

I can agree with you Madrush, but for the likes of TLC, TJW and the rest of the independants there isn't much going on. We struggle quite abit for independants around here thesedays and our posts show it.

I also fully agree with madrush - the independents are under represented here and it is always interesting reading to hear about their activities. It will be interesting to see how Harrogate Coach Travel / TLC / Geldards & HJC launch their new routes replacing the withdrawn Firt's services next week. TJ Walsh is not a very interesting fleet but their route network has been remarkably stable over the last few years so they must be making a profit. HJC is another matter - that must be one of the more interesting fleets for any bus enthusiast - particularly the all day use of such old vehicles!

HJC is my favourite company, i am up at their depot once every week or two and I know a lot of the drivers all of which are kind, friendly and helpful.

I've just heard the Halifax FTB driver that TJ Walsh are going to be getting a "Plaxton Bus" for the MC4, I am thinking it will be a Primo as I saw a Mistral one a couple of months ago on Hire and my mate told me a week ago that he was following one in his car. This will be the first Primo to go into service in West Yorkshire.

The MC4 is run by First using the Plaxton Pointer Dennis Dart in Metroconnect livery and is going to be run by TJ Walsh in January.

I heard off someone I know today that he saw what looked like a Plaxton Primo from a distance in all over red driving on Market Street in Halifax yesterday and it was a 59 plate but didn't get anymore details, this is probably TJ Walsh's for the new E8 route they are starting.

They are marketed as integrals aren't they? And commonly refered to simply as Primo's

Does anyone know where the Primos have disappeared to? Today and Thursday the E8 was using a Solo. Is there a problem with them, or are they just using them on other routes?

They are no longer suitable for the E8 route due to double parked cars and they scrape on the ground when going fast down from Barkisland - They are now for the 504 and the 700

Primo MX10 DXG has been sent back due to a fault, MX10 DXF is currently parked at the depot awaiting service & another 5 will be due by the end of this month at most.
