I think they will just be repainting the exterior if the DAFs I've been on at at Hecky are anything to go by.

I understand 191 is not carrying Arriva names and 192 doesn't have the Arriva name at the sides and on the roof the foremost panel is cream with bits of bright blue! Not sure where the blue comes from.

Was on 193 today and the engine cut out about 4 times in the space of half an hour. that use to happen in 2006 when we had the other heat wave, quite a few use to cut out when they had pulled up at the bus stop.

I think that the repaints are been rushed a little as on 187 on the roof hasent been fully done and at the frount end of this bus you can just see the old bit of the white around the edges at the top and on 195 they havent painted the doors, they are still in the old colours. on a few other ones they havent painted the grill at the back corner by the emergency exit. If you look at the photo you can just make it out on the doors of 195 www.flickr.com/photos/busesinwestyorkshire/3515504029/sizes/l/

Do they still have the No Step sticker and red arrow on the doors from Yorkshire Buses days?
The seating layout on these buses in the worst of any by far. No leg room and some over the wheels at the back are like a tennis umpires seat!

Rumor, not confirmed, that some maybe all the ex-Dewsbury ALX200's at Belle Isle might be going to Castleford in exchange for some of their Plaxton MPD's

Yes I have also heard this from a few Dewsbury Drivers. This is due to these buses being too long on Belle Isle routes hence why they have mini pointers on most of the single deck routes. Did Arriva think to trail the ALXs on Belle Isle routes before sending them across???!

They wont be going to castleford as the alx 200s wont go around any of the turning circles that castleford buses go around this was proved three or four years ago when cas had 3 or 4 of these alx 200s

Thinking about it the ALX200's find the left turn out and right turn into Selby Bus Station rather tight as well.

Belle Isle have used the ALX300's and the Step Enterence Spectre's on some of the Wakefield 1 City routes in the past. If memory sevres me right I think the 114/5 used to be operated by long wheel base Nationals MK1's and MK2's so there might be some scope in part of the MPD nextwork.
