Any chance of a 'foe' button, where it hides a certain member's posts?

As far as I am aware there is no such function.

Despite it being a good thought maybe if you highlights problems with certain members up with either Me, Tim or Craig we can work resolving the problems?

Would probably lead to 90% of my posts not being read.
I aren't going to say which member, I think its fairly obvious that is starting to get on my wick.
Now, the use of a foe button (thats what they call it on RLFans) would mean, that said poster would carry on posting as and when they wish, whilst I am happy as I dont have to read their posts.

The best answer to the problem (which all i can at the moment is being dealt with) but if do not wish to read posts made by certain members then just scan over it and not read it thats all i can say currently.

To add to this, every member on the forum has the right to post what they wish and i'm sure this freedom of speech is an important thing. I appreciate that at times it can be frustrating or annoying to see certain things written or certain subjects constantly being discussed, but it is important we all feel comfortable participating and sharing our views and opinions.
There may be occasions where a comment oversteps the mark and myself, Craig or Jamie can spot this and deal with it, but if anyone has an issue with anything we can be contacted privately and we will try to resolve the issue to everyones satisfaction.
Hope you all get where i'm coming from.
Tim

Thanks for your suggestion and effort.
I must admit the logo isn't the best it could be, not least because I'm no graphics design expert and my computer is somewhat limited and lacking in suitable software!
Does anyone else want to see a new logo? Or, even better, does anyone else feel like having a go? If so I could put it to a poll.
If you would like a change, or if you also prefer it the way it is, post your thoughts below.

Not real preference, but, if it isn't broken then it doesn't need fixing

May i be so bold, As to suggest a new board specifically for bus operators outside of our region. Perhaps a UK wide one to add to our current Arriva/First/Transdev/Centrebus boards etc?. I do know info can be gleaned from other websites representing other areas, But i just thought it may be of some interest to some forum members to have postings regarding operators out of WY which this forum covers so well. On a personal level, I am a regular visitor to Blackpool and have a good knowledgable interest in BT's bus fleet, And would be very happy to post regularly on their fleet news. Reading other forum members profiles, It would appear some are located here, there and wherever and im sure they would be happy to post happenings from where they are outside WY. Anyway its just a suggestion and I'll be happy with however you respond.

The UK transport should theoretically fulfil this role. I suppose the more sub boards, you increase the chances of somebody posting something in the wrong place!

Thanks for your feedback, however I have to agree with Jack's comments. The section with Arriva, Centrebus etc is for West Yorkshire (and surrounding) only which is the main focus of the forum. All other news is welcome in the UK transport board, and I would encourage you to post here. Currently the UK board is fairly quiet but if demand picks up we could look into using sub boards there also if appropriate.

Thanks for the above responses. TBH I had'nt really thought about the UK transport board and Im glad you've pointed that option out to me. Im as guilty as anyone about under using that board and will now try to make regular postings (Hopefully of interest).

Can we have a thread in each operator section just for general sightings, i.e sightings which are not misallocations but are just general info?

One thing that bugs me on this forum is that if I haven't looked at a thread for a little while, when I click the "go to new post" icon on the forum list, it takes me to #1, completely forgetting that I've already read that and many more of the posts that follow.
On other forums I read, the "new/read post" function doesn't get bored or forget which threads I've read after a while ... even if there is no activity in a thread for 5 years, when I ask for the last unread post, that's what it gives me.
I don't know if that's something that's hardwired into ProBoards or not, but if it is something that is within your power to control then I'd be grateful if you could look into it!

Are you attempting this by the app or on the Internet. I know on the app you can change the settings to load the latest post. There may be a way of changing it in your settings on the website as well.

I'm sorry I can't directly answer the question as I'm not sure which function on the forum isn't working for you. Are you referring to the new topics button at the top of the page or something else? What I do know is that an upgrade to Proboards is on its way and I understand this includes improved search functions, so hopefully that will help you when it arrives.

It's the "New" buttons in the forum list, that allow you to jump to the oldest post that has appeared in the thread since you last looked at it - the ones shown in the attached image. If it's been a little while (maybe a month? not sure) since I last looked at a thread then instead of taking me to the "new" posts, it just drops me in at #1, and then I find myself typing a reply to a post that I already replied to a year ago!

If you click on the date on the right hand side, where it says when the last person has replied, it will take you to the bottom post then you can read from the bottom or the last date you checked it.

Not a great solution though – it just drops you at the end, regardless of how many posts have been made since your last visit, so you then have to find the right one – and before you click on the "New" button you don't know whether it's going to work properly or not.
