i assume it was conscious decision to include the company's green in the livery? Not much use to an awaiting passenger looking east straight into the morning sun when the green is on the back of the bus. ]I support Connexions, but they do keep making the point about being a local company It does grate a lot of people given Transdev is one of the biggest employers in Harrogate. Maybe they will return to Selby next so that they can attack Arrivas German ownership.

Well said. Has anyone actually bothered to stop and think they maybe incorporating the "as delivered" liveries to what they are envisaging for the routes I support Connexions, but they do keep making the point about being a local company and refer to another operator whose profits go abroad, which is true but gets irritating. Only the same as the "support your local butcher/grocer vs Supermarkets"

Do you speak for everyone on Harrogate?

I'm struggling to find a post designed to wind Transdev up? Genuinely think that people are over sensitive with Connexions. Things have been done incorrectly in the past but cmon, give the guys a chance. Misunderstanding, not the company page but rather certain employees

ConnexionsBuses Facebook page reports acquisition of 2 Scania deckers from Stagecarriage with 3 more expected (may or may not be from the same source). First two are YV03PZW to be vinyl'd red and green for the X1 service, and YN03DFL currently in Vamooz livery.

Bit awkward them buying YN03DFL given that Vamooz was created by the enemy that is Transdev

Picked up the remaining four from my former Stagecarriage fleet today I believe, which would give them YN03DFC/L, YV03PZW and YU52XVN. YN03DFP went to A&A a month or so ago.

I'm intrigued that they are calling these 16-year-old buses "ultra clean engines", given that Euro IV wasn't even a thing in 2003, let alone Euro VI.

Theres a comment on Connexions facebook page of "PZW was converted down here in Suffolk" so presumably they have some upgrades. It was converted to single door and 80 seats by Beestons of Hadleigh. The rest were done by Ensign as far as I know.

ConnexionsBuses have posted a screenshot on their Facebook page which I guess is an operator screen from RYGO. It shows vehicles in service around Harrogate which was troubled by congestion earlier today.

Is it purely an error on the part of Bustimes.org showing that the X1 and X11 services in Harrogate are operated by Road Runner or are these also operated by Connexions? TIA

The X1 is operated under the following operators licence, along with a few other school services. www.vehicle-operator-licensing.service.gov.uk/view-details/licence/156575I believe it used to suggest that RoadRunner was the trading name, although I’d never been aware of that being in widespread use. The majority of ‘Connexions Buses’ services are registered under the main O licence, which is... www.vehicle-operator-licensing.service.gov.uk/view-details/licence/233058Buses on the X1 should always display the appropriate O licence disc and legal lettering (unless on hire), but fairly sure that doesn’t always happen. I’ve no idea why they persist with two separate licences, which just seems to add an unnecessary complication, that a small operator could do without.

Connexions have replaced their Volvos over the last few months with several Scania Omnidekkas. Most recent acquisitions are YN54VKC ex Stagecoach 15413 and LX09AEB ex Stagecoach 15057.

LX09AEB isn't an Omnidekka, but a polish built OmniCity double decker.
