Would imagine they will in turn replace the Scania Striders that are there and most of the Darts. They will get allocated to the 85/87 aswell as the new 61/62. X84,28,96 share the running board on Sundays (more like interwork), so am wondering will first leave the X84 was a stand alone service, and instead make the 28/96/97 interwork. The X84 doesn't interwork with the 28 & 96. A few of the evening services interwork with the 63 to Ivy Street. (This was done so that extra running time could be given tho the X84 and not require any extra buses to be used.) The 28 & 96 interwork on an Evening & all day Sunday. The 85/87 & 62 @ Hunslet & 61 from Bramley will probably keep it's current mish-mash of buses until the new single's arrive in Leeds later in the year and the current fleet of singles are re-deployed to other services. Id love to see how long these new buses last on X84 route which is also known as bus killer route as so many buses break down on the hills around otley. Well the 33A has Royales allocated to it, and they do the same hills as the X84 around the otley area and you don't see them breaking down left right and centre. Buses broke down on the X84 route because they were at least over 12 years if not 15/16 years old.

Do you think that first will break these buses in onto the service IE 4 at a time each day until they are all in service, or will they just put them all on tommorow at once?

Wouldn't sticking them all in service if they're all ready to be used seem more practical and common sense!

The 33A doesn't go on any hills in the Otley area, the X84 on the other hand climbs the Chevin.

They both climb the chevin both in and out of otley. The 33/33A run from Otley to Menston and then onwards, therefore they do not traverse Otley Chevin.

So where would you say the Chevin is. I would say the Chevin, is Burras Lane and Chevin Road, which both the X84 and 33A serve, where i got my argument from.
From what people are saying it would seem that people are saying the Chevin is the A660 out of Otley.

From the description you have given us, it sounds awfully familiar to a town called Otley which isn't the actual Chevin. The A660 and West Chevin Road do climb Otley Chevin. Please consult a map before disagreeing with us further Nick!

Nick, the 33a only climbs a small section of hill before turning left along the road that leads to Otley town centre (past waitrose). In Yeadon, once again it only climbs a smallish hill around Morrisons. On the way out from Leeds, the Hills on the A65 around Horsforth and Rawdon are not that bad, they gradually rise and have only small sections of rise before a flat section. The A660 out of Otley is gradual admitedly, however it's a long hill with no flat sections. That is why buses overheat, you can't take your foot off the gas on the A660 for long, unlike on the A65.

Nice branded buses, this is probably the best branding first have done on their buses, The X class, it says it all for X84, especially with the leather seats. First should have changed The red line/blue line branding is terrible, the colours contrast, especially on 37121 and 37123 and the font is bad a wavy effect from Microsoft powerpoint.
