The quality of the press is applaing while not the bbc the ytv news in sheffield announced that there was a new lincoln - london rail service they showed a 153 unit
Daily telegraph 22nd dec illistrated an article on the new RM with a picture of a RTL no appology given no correction
If it was the wrong picture of a start then it would have been corrected

Hello Bobby
the lens on my SLR IS A 18 -55 so its good for wide angle shots and allows you to bring stuff forward , however a longer lens ie hight than 55 would halp at times but it you get one thats too big its bulky

Leeds Sovereign Street was really a tram depot - it was next to the Queens Hall and the whole lot is now the car park on the South Side of the station. The old Leeds City Transport/Metro headquarters were opposite and are now a hotel called Malmaison. The most amazing - but unremarked - survivor was just behind these on Concordia Street. This had been Leeds City Tramways permanent way yard, but there were still tram tracks inlaid in the setts in places in 1999, 40 years after Leeds' last tram. There is now a block of flats and a (crap) restaurant on the site. Not so much depots, but we had the dogs out for a walk on the canal bank near Bingley the other day and came across a "Metro Waterbus" sign! Is this the one that was used as an exhibtion hall , in the late 70's/ early 80's we took a PD2 there for a exhibtion was all public transport it included a doncaster trolley bus from sandtoft which was towed there by SYPTE pd2 towing wagon a , sheffield pd2 (3156we) the clevelenad and south yorkshire pte gas buses , st helens open top pd , a then new south yorkshire motors coach and decker plus others I have the photos but they are not digital so i cant use them [img src="[/img] img293.imageshack.us/img293/503/imgroy732qe7.th.jpg"]
