Good idea, but hopefully it won't lead to the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden closing. Would be surprised if it did as I suspect less than 5% of those who go to covent garden would go to brooklands as Covent Garden is on the tourist circuit where the new Cobham musuem isnt .

As a planning exercise prior to the introduction of the british oap travel pass.
I worked out that it was possible to travel from Sheffield (South Yorks) to London using the pass it took 14 hours and 13 buses.
If I remember rightly it went via Chesterfield , Alfreton, Derby , Nottingham Loughborough, Leicester etc etc etc.
I do wish teh Great British Bus Timetable was still around as doing it by using websites took longer than the actual journey.

Not in West Yorks but west York's related :
think 2 wulfrunians were ordered by Rotherham Corp .
When the front entrance RM was done enough parts were ordered for 5 buses the last one was to appear at the motor show in Sheffield Transport livery - now a FRM in Sheffield on meadowhead would be interesting , understand it was to have a leyland engine.

Remember that when there have been realy problems with drivers not wanting photos taken its been for a reason the worst one was in the north east just after dereg when it was found out that they didnt have lincences or were on the dole.
Most tranpsort operators with a common sense will welocme enthusiasts on premises / bus staitons as it means there are more eyes on the premises that will noticce things amis. Indeed when things do go wrong it is quite common for the police to ask for photos or films from enthusiasts . However, we need to be responsible and some of the comments made on this thread dont fall in that catagory.

The morning Skipton could also be electric if the HST set currently used is needed elsewhere. Can someone confirm that a east coast set with a 90 can actualy work to skipton , I once read that the overhead was built to light standards so couldnt cope with the extra force of heay pantagtraph
