Exactly, most Heckmondwike routes are now almost all low floor, not very long ago they were all Lance and Arrow operated so the routes have seen a large improvement. Demanding Enviro 400's on the 220/221 is ridiculous

So if they call one of them Mr Bump, I would expect that bus to be often involved in road accidents so won't see much of him!

Unfortunately the 268 goes nowhere near this address.

b9tl? it says on the dewsbury bus museam site that they are dennis or is the chassis just b9tl? Yes, you are right, it is on an Alexander Dennis Trident 2 chassis, you can tell as the radiator is on the nearside rather than the offside on the Volvo B9TL.

This was heading for the Media Museum in Bradford for a press launch with local primary school children as the VIPs. The Mr Men charecters pictures seem to be quite big on the side of the buses. www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/3736110.Look_who_s_on_the_bus_/

Does that look like another "Connecting Kirklees" branding on the side to you Jack?
Also I didn't realise they were having the characters on the side of the bus, I thought it was just going to be the name above the doors like on the Lowlanders.

Little Miss Sunshine was out on the 268 today. If you sit upstairs on the left at the front, you can't see out because of the picture been there. It's just like the picture of the conductor on Megabus vehicles.

Yes it is connecting Kirkless branding on the side of the buses as there are a couple in the front yard of Belle Isle.

I have travelled today on 1900 and the view (adult or child) is blocked nearside upstairs front seat by (presumably) "Little Miss Sunshine". The ride is quite good, although I was only on it for about five minutes. I did notice one rattle. It sounded as though the top of the grab rail wasn't fastened tightly enough to its ceiling connection.
1901 appeared 13 minutes later and I undestand from someone who rode on this one that there is a number of rattles downstairs.
Seating capacity is shown as 80 (or 79 with wheelchair) with no separate upper/lower deck figures indicated. I think the split may be H45/35F as on Arriva NE's similar vehicles (although those are shown as DP).
I shall be out and about tomorrow (as will others I reckon) to try and get more details.

Thats normal for Alexander products to rattle like hell, the Striders, ALX 200, 300, 400's were all the same when they were new, and now the sound like they don't have any bolts at all.

Apparently my dad said that 1901 was only on the road an hour and it broke down and because it was still under warranty the mechanics had to come from Lancashire.

1901 followed 1900 again today. On 1900 the little lady also appears over the second nearside window upstairs and has the oval route ad similar to those on the VDL/East Lancs on the 202/203 at the rear nearside. In the normal broadside advertisement panel there are cartoons of the little miss. Under the lower deck windows there is an orange band with 268 Dewsbury District Hospital Heckmondwike Cleckheaton Bradford printed on it and Connecting Kirklees below the band. This is the nearside, but I have no idea what appears on the offside as I have yet to see that side of the bus.
1901 is completely bereft of such adornments.

1900 carries three circular stickers on each side in the rearmost full size downstairs windows. They read: CCTV on board; £4.00 All Day; Buggy Friendly.
Has anyone heard of this £4.00 all day ticket?
