I'm with Jack on this. It will be a Leeds Festival Shuttle subcontracted from Geldards.
Actually, looking at it again, it has X28 on the windscreen. I'm sure that is the service number given to the shuttle bus, so i'm sure it is.

This must be a profitable route for Geldards or is it here you are £250,000, provide us with a service and the money you get from the fares please give to us.
Volvo B7RLE on the 91. Yes the 91.

Well I would imagine so; I somewhat doubt Geldards intention is to provide the service at a loss. I would imagine there is some kind of exclusivity rights which Geldards has, and of course the festival organisers will take a cut.

The shuttle buses are operated under contract to Leeds Festival. Don't National Express operate some coach services direct to the site as well?

Right N113 on the 91 (Low Floor Bus), ALX 400 provided fun on the 410 and 189 Halifax deployed a Plaxton Pointer Low Floor onto the 508, it was like looking into the future for leeds.
And i was suprised with the amount of buses running 'dead' and amazingley these were not on the East Leeds corridor but more on the Headigley Corridor.

I suppose you mean a Wright Axcess Floline/Scania L94UB. What there are of these at Bramley, they aren't allocated to a specific route but are used on single deck operated routes. Castleford Depot usually deploy Alexander ALX400s on the 184/185/189 and 410 routes as not all 20 buses are needed for the 163/166.

Why on earth do First plough millions into a high profile campaign (i.e. the ftr 4 route) and then shove any old crap on there - in the past few weeks there has been noted Dennis Darts and now the ex-London J-reg Olympians. I can appreciate that sometimes StreetCars might be unavailable, but should First's policy not be to provide a low floor new vehicle instead? Why are they continually absolutely useless on vehicle allocation?
Action should certainly be taken against their advertising of routes as 100% low floor which are anything but (not just the 4 route but all others which are supposed to be low floor - the 1 and 16 spring immediately to mind as particularly bad examples). The usual disclaimer of "exceptional operational circumstances" is permissable "exceptionally" but not day in, day out.

Bramley is the worst offender of all the Leeds garages when it comes to sticking anything on low floor routes. The extension of the 16 hasn't helped the situation as they they need more low floor buses which they don't have. I would imagine the weekday allocation will also become worst when schools are back and First will operate vehicles that are less than 10 years old on Boston Spa school work, which really only leaves the B7TLs as suitable vehicles for this work.

As for the ftr4, I think that they may have a shortage of hosts and trained drivers for the route so a regular bus has to be used instead.

This I understand - but why can't they send out the next best bus in terms of quality, such as a newer low floor 'decker, instead of a Dart or a past-its-sell-by-date Olympian?
