Interesting to see that Arriva is attempting to serve more of the City Fields development by new service 103 and rerouting service 147, though just exactly what route the 103 will take isn't clear from their timetable.

Its temporary. Its noted in the wellington street alert on metro site. "Arriva services 229, 254 and 255 will divert between Infirmary Street City Square C and Wellington N on Whitehall Road via St Paul's Street, Queen Street and Northern Street. Buses will not be stopping on Wellington M (45013213) on Whitehall Rd due to the works on Wellington Street"

Any updates on BSIP funding First Halifax 501, 503 and X3 timetable changes or are those delayed to tie in with the opening of Halifax Bus Station? Is this the reason why Wymetro.com haven't released their timetable changes expected for 2nd September despite it being a week away? Are Metro still waiting on First or are they waiting on phase 4 of the Halifax Bus Station construction?

People aren't gonna have much of a heads up if there's any cuts... It’s weird that they insist on doing them all in one go or not at all. Surely it’s possible to publish some and then add more later? That’s what TfGM do (even with their website’s dumb insistence on listing service changes twice, once for each direction of the route)

TBH I'm surprised they don't do this diversion permanently - fewer lights and no worries about Station traffic blocking the two junctions at either end of Thirsk Row. Bit of a queue getting up Northern Street, but probably still quicker.

And there you go! In other areas it is just minor timetable improvements as well as later journeys on the 72, and increased frequency on the X6 (at peak times) Finally some great changes, go on First!

I see First are assuming no-one in Leeds uses the 72. Where are these changes from? Can't see anything on their website.

[quote author=" deerfold" see First are assuming no-one in Leeds uses the 72. Where are these changes from? Can't see anything on their website. [/quote] This is internal communication, meant to be embargoed until Tuesday 29th.

That seems ridiculous. I doubt much annoys passengers more than not being told about changes to their service until the last minute.

Exactly It's a positive change too it seems silly to not be raving about these changes a while before they take place. I mean they have speakers on buses now. They could've promoted changed to those services for a good couple of weeks, and since their announcements are text to speech it shouldn't be any trouble.

Seems like First are starting to get back to normal driver levels. I personally think the reason Calderdale is currently untouched is to match in with the new bus station. That's where the timetable increase on the 501/3 will kick in and the new 538 and X3 services will launch. Also I think maybe services such as 541/2 and 586 might have the possibility to go back to their original frequency after being cut due to the driver shortage.

Presumably this is because the registrations haven’t been approved yet. Only received by OTC on 18/8 and still showing as variation (not registered). www.vehicle-operator-licensing.service.gov.uk/search/find-registered-local-bus-services/details/615480/

I had this query fairly recently with Transdev, as they weren't marking cancelled journeys on the next bus system so anything not running would just show scheduled time. Transdev said Metro update the system and to contact them. When I did, Metro said it's the operators who input the information, which would make sense as Metro are unlikely to know all of the cancellations across each depot.

A lot have been approved. Metro could publicise those and add more. As they usually do. Transdev published their changes a month ago.
